Personally, if I ever installed a system as a dealer this would by my minimum:
    Full network access
    Remote monitoring with OvrC
Promote native touch screens over the mobile app
Avoid third party solutions as much as possible (even though I do have some in my own system, but would prefer them being replaced with a good 1st party alternative)
When the network is solid, ISP is solid, and rf interference is low, then the system should be very reliable.

Sonos has a few things in their cloud API that they haven't ported to their local API. Once they do, I'm sure the feature will be added.

or you can do a Network Reset which will just simply set it back to DHCP
To reset the HC-250 network settings to the default, perform the following steps: 1 Disconnect power to the HC-250. 2 While pressing and holding the ID button on the back of the HC-250, power on the HC-250. 3 Hold the ID button until the Data, Link and Power LEDs are solid Blue, then immediately release the button.

Well, I need the bulbs to start with whatever  CT they had when turned off,  because I am tracking that on a per-room basis, where a keypad button  allows the user to select between a number of preset temperatures. I only send a "temperature set" command when the user chooses a new one, not at each switch-on because I have many bulbs and sending that to each of them (in addition to the turn on command) would overload the poor hub. Not to mention the unpleasant visual effect it would have.

    Thanks
    Rick

No way to fix this. You are digitizing audio which takes time.

-defunct- got a reaction from TundraSonic in Tune-in audio is turning off / timing out after 2 hrs ?
Some TuneIn stations will cut off access to reduce idle/dead connections and each station has its own timeout.
The only way to get this resolved is  through Control4 tech support (and your dealer if you aren't one), so that they can review the audio logs to determine if some programming is turning it off or if the station is killing the stream.

Also, for the best audio experience, I would suggest you be on Control4 OS version 3.2.4.

A dealer can sell you PC based software called composer home edition. It is different than composer pro that the dealer uses
you can do 95% of the programming your dealer can do - but you cannot bind hardware and you cannot add hardware
its $149 one time fee and it comes with 1 year if 4sight which is $99 so really it’s like $50

Ya, I'll admit that part isn't great.
I'll see what I can do in that regard because that would be beneficial for advanced homeowners.

It wasn't me, but it was my boss and PMs.
I'm in all the chats about the vuln though. It's been a wild scramble talking with all the teams to review everything we include in our products and services.

But for those of us on Unifi there is a vulnerability in the Unifi Controller software.  You need to upgrade to the latest release or manually upgrade the log4j jar files.

FYI - I found this statement on the Control4 web site.
    LOG4J VULNERABILITY RESPONSE
    Dear Partner,
On Friday, Dec 10, a vulnerability in the “Log4j” Java library was announced (CVE-2021-44228).
An initial audit of our systems and applications indicates that the vulnerability is not present in
any Snap One mobile application or product.
Snap One’s usage of the affected “Log4j” library is limited to internal, backend services. Based
on available information, we have no indication that the vulnerability has been exploited within
our organization and are confident that there is no impact to customer data.
The security of our products is a top priority and critical to our ongoing commitment to foster
trust and transparency for our customers.
Snap One continues to monitor our systems and applications, as well as information provided
by CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency), threat intelligence and other
vendors for new information, and we will continue to take prompt action as necessary.

-defunct- got a reaction from Tech Junkie in What is Best Practice for Transferring C4 System to new Homeowner?
Keep your account for future use, or have it deleted by Control4 if not.

If you want Contol4 in any new place, that HE license is good for life, but you must keep the same account.

As for what to give the new owner, a dealer will have to register the system, so I would unregister it from your account after logging out of all the personal streaming services.
No info is required to transfer from the old owner to the new owner. The dealer can register the system to a new account as long as the system is unregistered.

Log out of all your personal streaming accounts.
Your dealer or a dealer should be able to work with the new owner to transfer the registration to a new account.
Composer HE license is tied to your account, but it is not recommended to give that account to the new home owner as it will not be a clean slate on the Control4 cloud-side.

For my personal use and scanning my home network, I use OpenVAS community edition. It's free, but the VM needs cycled every once in a while since the OS does not update with the free version.
For work, we use Acunetix and Nessus, both have the ability to scan for the vulnerability just like OpenVAS. The only places we identified the vulnerability were in Composer and some back-end servers not exposed to the public. All of that is currently being worked on or has been fixed.

Thanks.  Good lord, that is terrible.
I did find a sort of workaround - they will show up in when/then portal and then you can go find the device/event in HE.  But man.

I would highly advise getting your driver updated and then making sure it is autoupdated.

Unfortunately, autoupdate half-worked in OS2, so you may have to update to OS3 before your system will continually get all driver updates with the autoupdate feature.

66 is the current version!  I bet that is your problem.
