Rob21
I have a full page of shortcuts on the home screen of one of my T3's. I understand that this could be a bad idea because it slows down the T3. Does anyone know of a way to keep the T3 running smoothly without getting rid of those shortcuts? Any kind of ram management feature?
JSTRONG
What controller are you using? My T3's all are operating very fast and I have a large system

JSTRONG
Are they all wired to a switch or wireless? Are the remote controls also sluggish?
Rob21
All the remotes are perfectly fine and all the touch screens are wired.
Rob21
Are there any other factors other than my controller that could effect the speed of the T3's?

Dave w
various drivers in your project can impact the T3 performance. I had a project where a bad ecobee driver was preventing multiple menus from loading on the T3s on pages that had nothing to do with HVAC. It took forever to diagnose too as we had to remove one driver at a time, test until the issue resolved.

Rob21
This is a weird request but can someone with an Ea5 and a T3 with a full page of shortcuts post a video navigating through the menus of the screen. This would help me a lot because it would give me something to compare mine to.
South Africa C4 user
My T3 have become sluggish when moving between rooms but I am sure this is because of the large number of Experience Buttons I have in each room... desperately waiting for a T4! I have a CA10 and it made a massive difference at the time. Since then, things have slowed down significantly. I am assuming (dangerous) it is because I have added 100’s (literally) of experience buttons since then.

Most large systems should really upgrade to an ca10 IMO. They pretty much made it because an ea5 still had issues with some larger systems. Curious to know what type of POE switch you have

Are those just any shortcuts on the home page of the T3?

No, experience buttons are a specific type of driver that allows icons in numerous locations and often have feedback (there's timers, multi colour bulbs and more). Experience buttons CAN be set as shortcuts on the home page, but the two are not one and the same. South Africa C4 user

TundraSonic
Our T3's are exceptionally slow as well (kind of like being back in the compuserve days of waiting on a modem to connect every time you want to do something). Slowest UI I've used in years. We have two T3's and I believe 33 6-button keypads connected to a central EA-5 via ethernet. Switch is a Unifi Switch Pro 48 that is very lightly loaded. Extremely few experience buttons or other stuff at this point. I'll post a video of mine tomorrow or the next day if I can. As above, I'd like to see others (both for speed and features). msgreenf
Sounds like something is wrong they shouldn't be that slow.

South Africa C4 user
Mine are equally slow but I think I simply have too many experience buttons. They were great a year ago but I have added lots since then. Desperate to test drive a T4!

Neo1738
Tundra I'm guessing your unifi was never set up correctly for C4. Issues with so many things, commands not getting sent, on wired and wireless really points to network. You mentioned on previous thread only some ppl can access your network due to wife's job, did your C4 installer install the Unifi for you? Wow what a difference! My T3’s are noticeably faster to the point where I have no complaints. I’ll post an update here if anything changes. Thank you for the recommendation Gary! msgreenf
