For anyone following this thread,  please see the link below which outlines a new Domosapiens driver which does exactly what is being discussed here.

I think it does benefit a homeowner in a meaningful way as it allows the dealer to have better visibility into the network and therefore provide better service...

some will be very happy about the below
    THE MORE POWERFUL
    ACCESS AGENT
Whether a touch screen is installed in a child’s bedroom, sports bar, or boardroom, sometimes you want to limit access to certain individuals, or let everyone have access to just a few things. The new capabilities in the Access agent, together with the Identity and UI Configuration agents, let you define the level of access users get on individual touch screens and on-screen television interfaces.
The touch screen in the child’s bedroom limited to just Favorites
The guest bedroom television interface only controls their room
In a sports bar or board room employees can access some screens, management can access all
UI elements can be unlocked, locked, and many can even be hidden
Manually lock screens whenever you want, or screens can lock automatically

Btw, We just added wan ip changing events and composer variables to the driver so now you can get an alert when failover to wan2 happens

Don’t we all wish stuff was cheaper. I just paid 15 for a burger last night.

We thought about making a smaller version for smart plugs only but would be too difficult for support tickets and future support. if we get enough requests for just the smart plugs we can look at this though.

The tool is more than a network scanner driver it also performs actions on the network.  The unifi network allows for control and event triggers. As a pinnacle control 4 dealer we wanted a network tool that wouldn’t limit us to what we can provide our clients. This is why we chose unifi and after more than 300+ clients on unifi we have not been disappointed. If you are not using all unifi I agree you could run into limitations.  But since the switches are so cheap and the software so refined, it’s a no brainer for us to only spec unifi equipment.

note: the offline of the matrix switches that you’re talking about is why we have a client timeout value (default of 60 minutes) for event triggers   This pretty much eliminates devices that go to sleep for a while creating a false offline event

Never heard of it before.  Honestly though RTS is kind of a solved problem with Bond.  Its really affordable, easy to install and works well.

RTS is the same globally and can be controlled by any RTS based controller including Bond.

This isn’t mine, came across it on a Facebook group, so thought I’d share here::
I'm programming a project where there's [Scene] buttons on a couple keypad dimmers. I'm making it so that when you press the button, it recalls a scene, but when you press-and-hold the button, it saves current settings as the scene. Wrote instructions for myself, thought I'd share them here:
    ::::SETUP::::
Add one Snapshot Driver per [scene] button
    •    Select the lights/AV you want saved/recalled
    Make [scene] button’s...
    •    Button behavior “Keypad”
    •    LED behavior “Push/Release”
Create a 3 seconds Timer for each Scene button, named:
    •    Scene - [Room] P&H
    (For press-and-hold)
Create a Macro called “Snapshot Save Flash Delay”
    ::::PROGRAMMING::::
When [scene] is pressed, start [timer].
When [scene] is released, if [timer] is running, then recall snapshot.
    When [timer] expires, then
    •    save snapshot
    •    Set [button] LED to white
    •    Macro: Snapshot Save Flash Delay
    •    Set [button] LED to black
    •    Macro: Snapshot Save Flash Delay
    •    Set [button] LED to white

    •    Set [button] LED to white

When [macro] is executed, then delay 200ms (or so)

Built a feature-limited interface to the home automation for our Airbnb - exposed features vary by password, so guests can play with the lights and thermostat, but not mess with the doors.  Also integrated a bunch of Ikea Tradfri remotes for use to turn on/off/dim patio string lights which are plugged in to cheap wifi-controlled outlets.

RobbieF reacted to C4 User in OS 3.2.1 Released
i sold my first C4 house about 5 years ago. When selling, I gave the buyer and demo and offered to completely remove the system, including all 180 light switches, cameras, tv’s, etc. The buyer kept the entire system, and both parties were happy. I would not worry about selling a C4 house.

That is just a dual white LED strip with one LED for cool and one for Warm, very easy to manage with the actual DMX driver and a multi-channel DMX decoder, the Tunable White driver is what you need and it is readily available.
There will be some added features in the next version to manage dual-white and CCT from a Color Wheel UI and more ways.

Other thing to be aware, if you need an RS-232 DMX Engine you can still purchase it through Engineering Solutions webstore or Amazon. Blackwire will not stock RS-232 Engines anymore. Price remain the same.
    Here's the Amazon links:

RobbieF reacted to jfh in OS 3.2 Out today! with new products!
Played around with the Chime (PoE) today.  I’m not going to install it outside until the mounting accessory kit is available so for testing and getting the programming ready it’s in my office.
Initial impressions - this is going to displace Ring and other video doorbells in C4 households.  Video quality is very good even at the lower resolution defaults and sound quality during intercom calls between the Chine and T3 is light years above the Ring Elite (also PoE).  Still some delay and audio is not perfect but you can reasonably have a conversation with someone at the door.  I have not tested response remotely via 4Sight yet but I don’t use that for cameras often.  My wife was impressed with the audio/video improvement over Ring and WAF is always important.
Also looks nicer than I expected.
You lose some interesting functions the Ring has, but I think the response time in actually answering the doorbell press, direct integration with C4 and the new history function will be worth the trade offs.  Establishing a video chat session on a doorbell press seems to be slightly over 2 seconds and an intercom session from a wireless T3 slightly faster.  The Chime will definitely sell T3/T4s.  Haven’t tested sessions from a wired T3 yet.  And a big plus for not having to use another external ap for looking at the doorbell view which can now be on the camera screen with the other cameras.
I still need to test motion and zones and configure the Chime to work with my LUMA 510 but just knowing I will be able to record locally instead of having the separate sub for the Ring cloud is exciting.  Being able to show snapshots or video clips in the history screen is awesome.  I think I like video better but will have to extend the default clip duration.

I will miss the Ring Chime unit though.  Don’t know if there is a comparable C4 device.  I don’t / won’t have an external doorbell chime hooked up and would like to have a similar device to augment announcements played over the in ceiling speakers.

So far my biggest gripe is that there is no way to programmatically force the camera into day (color) or low-light (b/w) mode.  The camera seems to aggressively force the camera into b/w mode even when there is more than enough ambient light.  There needs to be two additional device specific commands and a way to determine what mode the camera is in.  I would also like to see a way to record video without a button press (could be there, but not obvious).   And C4 gets points deducted for not having any of the mounting accessories available at release.

RobbieF reacted to Dr Noisewater in RGBW Lighting - DMX
I am currently using the Domaudeos Dmx driver along with the engineering solutions box. I used RGBWW strips so that I could have a warm white and also a separate 6000k white all above 90 +/- CRI.  With the DMX control, you can really dial it in.  I did all the wiring and installation and learned a ton along the way. Each zone gets a Dmx decoder, Meanwell 24v power supply, and a run of 18/6 out to the strips. Sometimes you have to run a few separate 18/6 runs to eliminate voltage drop if your going out a ways.  All of it works awesome in C4. I have seperate color sliders for each zone/room now. If you have any questions I would be more then happy to help where I can.

There is an app CCTV Viewer that I use in Apple TV that is a lot easier than C4 imho. I think the guy was making an app for Android but not 100%.   I also use the free Unifi Protect app on ATV.   The iOS app is awesome for Protect.

I have my cameras in C4 with the generic IP driver.    Just no thumbnails.  Honestly rarely use C4 though as there are better viewing interfaces IMO.
