I have a full 4,000 sq ft home 100% on c4 lighting. Minus my gripe with older hardware (from 2014) with sub par LED backlighting, the lights themselves just flat out work.
Lutron is nice because it is system agnostic, but I do like the single/double/triple tap of the c4 keypads.  Adds tons of functionality that we use often.

    1. Neeo was a bit of a stuff up but I still like mine. Will ultimately upgrade to Halo Touch,
    2. yes there was a bad batch but I understand C4 replaced these no issue.
    3. what bugs? Update to latest OS!
    4. I don’t believe this for 1 second.  C4 lighting is extremely reliable and one of their best features.
    5. Really?
What a pointless thread. If you want to change to Savant go for it.  I am sure they have their strengths and weaknesses.  So does C4.  Personally I will stick with C4.

Yes, you need to sign up on the elk website as a user and that unlocks the rp software and all firmware updates. I can send you you if that doesn't work.

No, not necessarily true, some leave what they have for ages without upgrades as long as they don’t change their behavior or asking for more, “if ain’t broke, don’t touch”
The rapid advancement we are living are pushing these boundaries all the time, but it’s a choice u can make, u can stay where u r and don’t update!

Fair enough, but at least keep the graphic style and color scheme consistent.  I just don't think it looks that good, but it's a minor issue.

So far really liking it too! I love the fly in menu addition (thanks to @Amr for the reminder to power cycle for them to appear!) makes it more functional, looks slick and modern too. The free switch bug fixes seem good so far - overall very nice!

Huge list of bug fixes.. Also, if you're using ColorWheel based lights, I'd recommend upgrading.

OP quoted he isn't able to.

IF you have the old router you can power it up, connect a laptop and get the old IP range. From there you can change the Eero IP range to match - from there @msgreenf can walk you though whatever is needed.

Well it depends a bit on the system, size, how many static IP settings if true static and so on. Oh and then there's the question if the dealer even knows Eero at all. I suspect 'all day' may be more an indicator that it's got to be a booked/scheduled visit due to possible unknowns vs a 1 hour quick swing by visit. Unless the system is truly huge though, it certainly shouldn't actually TAKE all day/8 hours.

Fully agree that this is an issue that your dealer should be able to fix easily and should fix!  the C4 dealer (almost always) is providing a complete solution.

I think this would only work if you had a very advanced zoned system where each room has its own thermostat.

I mean, simply put, you need to replace the lighting with either an alternate smart system to some degree, or if you're confident it was retro fitted, you can hire an electrician to rewire to 'standard' lighting.
A/V is simple enough: just disconnect it. These days everything can be done over networking basically, hardwired if not wireless so you can just get local TVs with local sources setup without too much issue.
If you have speakers, assume you're abandoning them for TV watching.
Sonos, BluSound and many others, including failry cheap DYI options like Arylic can do a simple enough take over of speakers for music purposes if nothing else. Sonos in particular will give you some potential options of maybe even using some speakers for TVs - or combine Sonos or Blusound with their respecitve soundbars to get a more or less central audio system setup with better sound for tVs at least.

In the end, you're spending money either way: so consider if it's more worthwhile to try and get a good dealer, but at least contact one of the excellent ones on here that do remote service: they can at least make an assessment on the situation and what might be wrong or in desperate need of updating (if anything) - and likely give you a better idea on what it would take to take it all out as we currently have no clue on what is there, so we really can't just say what needs to be done to take it out.

@chopedogg88@AK1@neil12011 are a few I can recommend that may have availability, or the 'looking for integrator' section of these forums will give you other options.

Anyone going to develop a driver for the Rinnai Tankless hot water heaters? The app works off of their wifi module called ControlR close to Control4 😆

Yes, bNet Solutions uses their own licensing system as do a few others (like Annex4 etc.) which does make it more complicated keeping track of where there are (good) new drivers.

I have been spending a lot of time recently improving the visual feedback in my system.  There are a lot of great drivers that allow one to automate things (and these have been mentioned in this thread and elsewhere).  Many of these also give feedback for what they automate (via the relevant proxy or the driver’s experience button(s)).
However, one also wants to give general feedback from time time (for variables included in one’s project and for automation where the underlying driver does not give visual feedback).
I currently rely on 3 drivers for this sort of feedback / visualisation, namely:
My go to driver for visual feedback, via Experience Buttons, is bNet Solutions bIconsdriver which has a large number of icon sets and the more recent version is architecturally phenomenal in that it’s use of system resources is minimised, The Janus technology BMS driver remains an incredible driver for graphing the history of (and storing) any and all historic data. The Custom Info driver by Barbini is great for displaying text feedback (with interactive control) via a webpage which can mirror the wallpaper of the room you are in. It is worth giving a special mention to 3 other generic feedback / control drivers:
The Chowmain Experience Button Suite was (I think) the first driver suite of this nature and I still have 100’s of instances of these drivers across my 2 projects. The Blackwire emoji driver suite was the first driver with (literally) 100s of icons available for experience buttons.  Apart from bIcons, I am not aware of any other driver (suite) with this sort of volume of icons for feedback. Domosapiens Mult Experience button was (to the best of my knowledge) the first driver (suite) to bring complex LED type feedback to the Navigators.

YouTube TV allows you to order the channels in any order you want. It works great on Apple TV. Order your wife’s favorite channels at the top and she should be happy. Very easy to navigate.

We use 2 out of 4 at our main house a lot and 3 out of 5 at our Beach House. Location is everything as Cy said.
Our main usages are cameras, intercom, sending voice messages to certain zones in the house, checking the weather, editing wakeups (never do that on the iPad for some reason), music selection (Tidal), opening gates and garages and checking what doors are open
I should add that my favourite feature is probably the photo screensaver and the now playing screensaver (I use the latter when music is playing and the former most of the rest of the time).
