knowitall got a reaction from msgreenf in Composer 3.0
This thread is amazing
My project has been running a 250 since the license shipped with it (5/2013?) I got one of the first ones. The only time it’s been off is because I moved, power went out longer than my backup lasted, or I manually reset it. I have not had ANY other tech device longer, expect my PS3 and NES. 6 years of flawless operation, upgrades and additions (adding labor to it with IP drivers and new proxy’s)
NEVER HICCUPED ONCE
i have no reason to get rid of my 250. I do, however happen to have a leftover EA1 which I may upgrade to this weekend.
Long Live C4 (and my 10” T3!)

Doable but complicated.
AV path setter driver is a must
you should do it the other way and feed your AVR from the matrix, otherwise you get into “dual matrix” paths within C4 logic
youll need a device to strip the audio from HDMI off Apple TV.
Your onkyo AVR will not likely breakdown the digital audio from HDMI and output via “zone 2 preout”
Good luck!

Yes they were actively selling tech from 2012 3 years ago, when it was already 4 years old.

If only the manufacturer supplied a document with the device purchased that explained how it worked.

You can all ask as many questions as you want and get as mad as you want. You’ll find out about google home integration when c4 releases it.
They DO NOT disclose future product information to end users or dealers. Anyone who is privileged enough to be in the know has signed a NDA.
Same as it ever was.
You all sound like Veruca Salt

Historically Control4 has been very open and forthcoming of their future plans and features.
And it’s Opposite Day

Note that the driver ONLY controls the specified boxes - in other words not the little 'slave' boxes

I saw a post on Reddit stating the X1 IP driver was out. Has anyone tried the Xfinity X1 IP driver that was released 9/20/18?

Harmony remotes work well too. But they’re whore’d out you can buy them at cost everywhere and can’t make money on them.
UBNT makes $$$ I don’t

knowitall reacted to d1amund in Cost of C4 Install
Are we to assume the system is already up and running and fully functional, other than the C4 system? If so what you have there is the EA-3 bundled with a remote and charging station. The price is spot on for the equipment and seems low if the system is functional otherwise. If the system is not already installed/functional...i wouldn't touch that for anything less than a grand for labor/programming. You have a good deal if that's a binding quote. And yes I feel the EA-3 is the safe bet.
