  1. Blah - everyone needs to quit being so damn dramatic. SnapAV is generally a good company to deal with (besides the HL fiasco). I was surprised by this, though. Curious to see what will happen with the competing product lines (Episode/Triad, Araknis/Packedge, etc), but it's going to be a while before we see anything, and I'm confident that SnapAV will make whatever transition required as painless as possible for both customers and dealers. I think everyone just needs to calm down and let things play out for a bit before drawing any conclusions.
  2. Ah, so this one isn't mounted on the floor! Sensor on the vertical rail, and the other contact piece on the door?
  3. Assuming you mean Spotify here? Even though this question wasn't directed at me, I'll answer I have a very large music digital music collection in FLAC and MP3. I have a lot of music that isn't available on streaming services. There is also a good chance that my local music is much higher quality than what is streaming from Spotify (I know there are FLAC-ish streaming services like Tidal, etc). This is why I prefer my local library to any streaming service. With this being said, I'm a pretty avid Spotify user as well.
  4. Yeah - it's sort of ridiculous that C4 requires that you use SMB1, but it is what it is.. You'll need to enable SMB1 on your NAS for this to work. Have you considered a DLNA server running on your NAS instead? I think there is Plex integration that is also available that you may consider.
  5. I just went through the exact same thing. You're smart to buy things in chunks! Good luck!
  6. Do you even need integration for the amps? Do they have 12V triggers that you can connect to your Zektor audio matrix? I'm using Episode "dumb" amps connected to a Triad matrix, and just use the 12V triggers from the matrix<>amps to turn the amps on/off.
  7. Any chance you can post that pic? Thanks!
  8. Yes - with PW, you buy bulk cable and attach the ends yourself.
  9. Thanks, all! @lippavisual, would you mind snapping a pic if you have a chance?
  10. I'm trying to find some simple sensors that I can wire to my controller to determine if my garage doors are open or not. I stumbled upon these which I believe will work fine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005H3GCW0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A29PFSLE3D9XFX&psc=1 My problem at the moment is that the CAT6 that I have ran for these sensors is near the bottom of the door, not the top of the door where I think these sensors would need to be located . I can always fish the cable back up through the drywall, but I was wondering if there was another type of sensor that would work that I could mount lower to the rail... or, is it possible that these sensors could also be installed lower on the rail? Any ideas?
  11. LTS has their own drivers that I was advised to use: http://www.ltsecurityinc.com/control4compat
  12. Yeah - not for me. I'd rather have a purpose built 1U NVR or something that doesn't require Windows.
  13. Blue Iris is not appealing to me because I believe I would need a dedicated Windows PC to run it. Right?
  14. Curious why you aren't considering them? I'm going to be in the market soon for cameras/NVR.
  15. Many have recommended LTS for both NVR integration and cameras. Have you looked at them?
  16. Any update here? Just found the Sylvania Lightify by Osram kit which would fit perfectly in my existing can locations. Is there any integration with C4 at all?
  17. Gotcha - just wasn't understanding why you needed to convert the single-gang into a 2-gang just to use a keypad instead of a keypad dimmer.
  18. A configurable keypad? Do you mean a Pico?
  19. Do you do all of this using a keypad in your bathroom?
  20. It's also overkill for 7.2 - but it's your money, not mine! A 3500 would have been more than sufficient.
