    MAJOR UPDATE
The next generation Shelly devices, Shelly Plus, has just been announced. We are happy to advise that we have worked closely with Doug Roberson and the guys at Allterco Robotics to update our Shelly driver for Control4 to be compatible with their brand new Shelly Plus 1, Shelly Plus 1PM and the upcoming Shelly Pro 4PM.

usually the way I've seen electricians do it is to put a high voltage contactor in between the heat tape and a regular Control4 120v switch.

    DRIVER REWRITE
Tuya released a new API earlier this year with the plan to replace the old API with this new API.  As such we have rewritten the driver and its now better than ever.
    Bi-directional control / feedback
    Supported Device Types Include
CLIMATE - These are HVAC based devices which can include thermostats, split systems, wall furnaces, portable air conditioners, oil heaters and more providing the ability to change HVAC modes, humidity, fan speeds and setpoints with room temperature feedback.
BLINDS - These are up, down, stop based devices which can include blinds, curtains and projection screens
FAN - These are multi speed fan devices which can include ceiling fans, tower fans and floor fans.
LIGHT - These are lighting products which can include on/off lighting loads, dimmable loads and RGB/W loads such as on-wall switches/dimmers, bulbs, strips, spotlights, garden lights, Christmas lights and more. Setting of LED colors is also supported
SWITCH - These are on/off devices which can include relays, on/off lighting loads, smart plugs, power boards, air purifiers, aroma diffusers, kettles, robot vacuum cleaners and more.
GENERIC - Support for "Utility"/Generic devices which collect information, or allow access
The agent logs into your Tuya account scans all available devices.
Auto polls for feedback every 220 seconds. Control is instantaneous. For faster poll rates, subscription services are available from Tuya
Supports OEM manufacturer apps (not just Tuya and Smart Life apps)

This is a total rewrite of the driver from the ground up.  It is not compatible with the old v1 driver.  Please read the installation guide for details on how to install.
@Andrew lueckecan assist further if required.  He was the talent behind this project.

Works really well and great for summer.

Consider OvRc.  This way you have this functionality for every device in your project.  (Immediately alerts when something drops offline and more).

The TP-Link driver is an excellent driver.  It wasn’t necessarily written to mimic the Kasa app functions, but instead to have almost all inexpensive Kasa devices function in the Control4 ecosystem.  OvRc was developed to do precisely what you are attempting, only with every device in your project.

Not sure what Router you are using, but if it’s not OvRc Pro capable, you can add a Pro Hub and get the same functionality.

Ask your dealer or msg me and I can point you in a good direction.  It’s a worthwhile fantastic addition to any system.

We are still working on this with the BSHG guys.  It’s a slow process and at this stage we have only finished the coffee machine (as that is what they sent us).
it is coming though I can’t commit to any timeframes at this stage.

Bond Bridge is one of our most popular drivers.
Bond Bridge Hardware is cheap at $99 each.  Its wifi controlled so you just connect it upto power (via its usb power connector) and can control other 400-500 mhz devices on your network on top of the Somfy RTS blinds (eg ceiling fans, fireplaces, etc).
Hardware setup is easy as you just use your mobile phone with the bond app to pair the Somfy remotes ot the Bond Bridge.  Takes a few minutes.

alanchow got a reaction from Dueport in Best way to get PC Audio into C4 system?
FYI connecting audio to the controller causes it to be digitised and sent throughout the network.  Even if it comes out of the same controller.
What this means is that you will experience lip sync issues if you plan on syncing video and audio up.
To get around this please connect it directly to the amplifier instead.

Just tried this on a 9664NI-I8 NVR.  Works very well for controlling the menu functions via IP.  Have been trying to find a workaround for this for quite some time.  Lets me push the full 4K HDMI output through an AV matrix, and control the camera view via a C4 remote.  Useful.
    Thanks, @alanchow

The govee immersion does work (I installed it on my tv) with our driver however due to limitations in govees API we cannot set scenes or modes.  As such you cannot switch to movie mode if you switch out of it.
At my place I just leave it in movie mode and hide color and color temperature proxies.
Have programmed it to turn on at 100% brightness if the tv turns on at night and turns off when the tv turns off.
    this works really well.

You'll need to submit a helpdesk ticket for us to troubleshoot further with logs and probably remote access details to your system.
    https://www.chowmainsoft.com/support
We don't have sleep mode implemented (or know how to do it).  The API for lights only give us the details on how to set the value.  As such you will have to do your own programming to do raising and lowering.

I couldn't purchase it directly from the govee website but managed to buy it through amazon.  Bought sockets, bulbs (color + non color), led strips (normal + immersion) with expedited shipping.
Once it arrives give us 6 weeks of development time so i assume we'll have a driver by mid August.

Sorry this is now fixed.  The server that this was on filled up and we didn't clear it.  This shouldn't be a problem in future as we've added in a cronjob that deletes the files periodically.
