  1. Seems silly to revert back to an old OS version to workaround an issue that should be relatively painless to solve. There will be time involved with a rollback too. The dealer should have known about the incompatibility before upgrading also.
  2. This is for leak detection, which in turn triggers Flologic (programatically) to turn off the water. I thought they were called water probes, maybe that is not the proper term. These are 2-wire probes.
  3. I have a WCS10A that has two water probes hooked up to it and I believe the probe has gone bad. It was forcing the sensor status to open. I have no part numbers for the original probe. Suggestions?
  4. I purchased an Axxess Motion Sensor a while back, because I could get black, and because it had humidity. The driver was old and bad. Looks like they updated the driver about a year ago (you can only get it from Axxess, it isn't included in the C4 driver database). It was dependent on some other ancient drivers to display temperature and humidity. I don't think there was any way to display humidity in OS 3. https://www.axxind.com/knowledge/download-drivers/ Now you can view that information, so it is worth getting your dealer to update if you have these. Also, they must have made some hardware modifications about midway through 2019 since there is a new version of driver only for devices "purchased after August 14 [2019]". Anybody know what those changes were? I know Axxess is supposedly used more in hospitality than consumer...
  5. I've had my system for over 8 years and haven't done anything yet because I don't want to commit. I need to decide...
  6. I've got a Moen IODigital that is starting to go on the fritz (this was their initial offering from 2010), has anybody done anything lately with U by Moen? If it works with Alexa, you'd think there would be some basic integration into C4 either using the Alexa integration or through IFTTT.
  7. I said earlier I had a TS lockup before the song even changed so there wasn't dynamic content, but that isn't really true. During songs there is scrolling activity on the touchscreens for song info. I've also had them lockup in the middle of a menu redraw while interacting with them. I wonder if the HC800 doesn't really have the power to deal with screen redraws on an Android device? I'm assuming that UI programming would be completely different in Flash vs Android. You'd think the device would be robust enough to deal with something related to delayed response from the controller but maybe not... To go along with this, on the room with a TS that has a lot more video than audio, I think the display of video information that typically only changes once in a while or when channels are changed, would put a lot less stress on the controller. Side note: I disabled the ports that have Infinity Edge on them, which was the majority of my PoE use. So now those ports aren't drawing power, and that didn't make any difference. I captured a Director log at trace level during a freeze but it doesn't tell me anything. Maybe support will see something.
  8. Did you do anything special on port settings, etc to dumb them down? I got them initially because I got a decent deal on them and I was still thinking I might do Just Add Power. Had them for probably 7-8 years and the first time I've ever had this type of issue. Everything obvious I've tried hasn't helped. Will be digging into logs as well.
  9. May not apply to you, but I have a 7702mkII and finally gave up on IP control and moved back to serial. And I have lots of AVRs and never had to fall back on serial before. All the others are Pioneer or Sony.
  10. Nope, it isn't going above 20% CPU at freeze...good thought though, looking for issues at the controller level instead of the TS itself. Do you have any thoughts on what would be the best logs to look for anything in that would relate to the touchscreen? For this test, it doesn't lockup if there is no music stream to the room, if I do a SIrius XM stream (native), it freezes within a few minutes... EDIT: this time it locked before the song even changed, so nothing was even dynamic in the room before it locked, CRAZY.
  11. I think it's a reason to not upgrade to 3.1.1 for some. But if you are on 3.x, you are probably going to eventually be "forced" to upgrade unless you can't live without the touchscreens. My issue is that I purchased two T3 touchscreens but they have been a nightmare for me. I have lockup / freeze issues, and I have been pulling my hair out trying different solutions: swapping their locations, plugging them in with a short ethernet at the swtich, using wireless instead, etc. They will freeze while using them, or when there is dynamic things going on in the room like music playing. Even if I wanted to replace all the Infinity Edge I won't touch another one until I figure this out. I've never had issues with any other PoE devices, both old and new door stations, and the Infinity Edge were rock solid. Also crazy I can't really find anybody with the same problems. I bought the SG300 Cisco switches so these are not cheap switches. I have them dumbed down as much as I can determine. Swapping to wireless took them out of the equation to a certain extent, but I still am powering them through the SG300 no matter what. RMA is an option, somehow trying them on another switch would be an option, I don't have a spare one so I would have to buy.
  12. Nope these are definitely doorstops, or nope as in their might be a workaround but it just hasn't been determined yet? I guess I don't know enough about the security change, but it seems that if a device isn't in a project maybe it has no chance of being allowed a connection to a controller?
  13. Ambient Weather 2902 Weather Station and others have a light sensor. Then you can program off of outside light levels for triggering actions in the house. Better than depending on sunrise / sunset.
  14. Anybody figured out what to do with Infinity Edge on 3.1.1? They got nuked by the change to remove default passwords it seems. They get to a screen asking for a password with the prompt "Authentication failed. Please reset your password". These were working fine for me for basic audio control for me and display of media playing in the zone, so I'd like to get them going again if there is a hack.
  15. @TheWizard Is there any chance we will get a driver update to include the new input choice for HDMI Bypass, which was included in the latest firmware (which has been out a while)? This is the same input, but bypasses processing Dolby Vision content. I can probably program around this limitation if this driver isn't getting more updates, which would be understandable.
  16. So no new controllers (at least not EA replacements), but there is starting to be a gap between what is supported on HC and EA (Apple Bridge, etc). If I've held onto my two HC800's this long, I'm not upgrading now with something that is 4 years old without a better indication of when the same thing will happen again (reduced functionality in legacy controllers)...
  17. Finally! Bluetooth beacon technology, and it's integrated with Control4. I'll be looking forward to hearing about how well this works for Control4 users, and all the cool integrations people come up with.
  18. I have no Control4 remotes remaining in my remote settings in my AppleTV upgraded to tvOS 13.0 (17J5557a). If I send a pairing command from Composer Pro nothing happens. Are any of you that have this working using a HC800 or are you all on EA series? EDIT: I can't even load the Gen4/4K driver on a HC800, and before tvOS 13 the old Gen3 driver worked, so I'm guessing I'm out of luck unless I want to keep Apple TV on an old version. Also guessing those in this thread that have this working all have EA...
  19. There are still lots of console exclusives, consoles are still simpler than other options, and many couch-coop and couch-multiplayer games still are being developed. And the biggest thing IMO, in a household with kids and adults that play, is if you buy a digital copy of a game on Xbox One, you basically get two copies of the game. Each person can get their own achievements, you don't have to even log in as the adult that bought it to play if you designate the "kid" Xbox as the home console. That can't be said for any other platform that I know of.
  20. I've just subscribed to both Apple Music and Napster. Besides the obvious integration advantages for Napster, it has some unique features Spotify, Apple Music, etc. don't have. I just wish family plan pricing model was competitive. Don't like sharing playlists with the whole family. Watch for sales on iTunes cards, you can usually get 20% off and stock up a couple hundred dollars worth at a time, and then you can pay the monthly recurring with those. That helps some.
  21. So buying Wyze cameras right now would be incompatible with Alan's driver and no current way around that?
  22. Yes, you may need a 3rd party driver like the IFTTT Maker driver from Chowmain though.
