Somewhat important piece of information and an example of why Trouble Shooting via a Forum is difficult at best and why on-site support in this case is needed. We don't know your full set-up, how its configured, etc.
As @msgreenfmentioned, move everything using those switch ports onto your Unifi switch.
Also, your wife's situation is not unique, by any stretch of the imagination.  If she's using multiple computers and devices for her secure communication in the home then they obviously aren't that important.  Clients and friends I've got that need this level of security typically have a single computer on an isolated and wired network and a secondary mobile device just for their business communications.  That is a home computer and and work only computer, a primary mobile device and a secondary work only device.

I run all Unifi gear from Ubiquiti without issue.  I think the C4 warning is about their edge products which are older.
Sonos, which also runs on a broadcast network functions fine on Unifi gear.

cdepaola reacted to South Africa C4 user in Generac generator install
I have my generator linked to C4 at my main residence.  Primary reasons:
    1. So I know when it is running (apart from hearing it) and automatically turn some high consumption equipment off (e.g. pool heaters and air cons) under certain circumstances (e,g. If solar is not supplementing the generator and / or backup batteries are low..
    2. I also have solar and batteries and prefer the flexibility I have by programming C4 to tell the generator when to come on in terms of how low the batteries have got, linked to current time of day (preferably not while we are sleeping unless the battery is getting to critical levels and preferably charging the battery to 100% in the early evening) and current solar input.
I had not yet linked the generator to Control4 at my holiday home figuring that I can use the Generator App to control the generator if I need to... only to have had 3 power cuts over the Christmas week and over 2 of them the internet was also down... I discovered that my Generator App is cloud based and how I wished I had a local C4 link.  It would have saved me running outside 3 or 4 times at unGodly hours to turn the generator on and off manually! Side note: while I could use the generator Auto setting, it was not initially on auto and if I had left it on Auto, I would have run out of diesel etc. (First world problems, I know!).

that switch is really meant for a smaller system where that is the only switch.  the more traffic you can keep on a single switch the better you are going to perform.

I don't think this is necessarily true anymore...  Within the newest stable version Broadcast Blocking is managed by Auto-Optimization if enabled.  I'm currently using Auto-Optimize within my environment and have zero C4 network issues.  Granted completely understanding this specific issue is not my strong suite, I just generally know I run a fairly stock Unifi set-up and have no C4 issues or network issues in general.

I would however agree that the behavior exhibited in the video appears to be network, driver, or device related.

If this is a new home and a new install then your dealer should be much more involved in fixing these issues as on-site work is obviously needed.  If they can't figure it out they can then get C4 involved.   I understand wanting to get this figured out and seeing this forum as a source however what you're describing needs someone on-site.

cdepaola got a reaction from South Africa C4 user in Why use Apple TV devices?
I think we all have preferences and in the end even if Apple makes changes to allow for direct app launch it won't change opinions.  The polarity we see with our electronics is just a reflection of our society, ultra polarized for no good reason...
I'm device agnostic, I have both Roku and AppleTV in my racks and each serves a purpose.  Roku is the better choice for simplicity at this point however.

The Early Access stuff can be fun but since they started charging a small premium to purchase early I’ve personally stopped and advised other to do the same unless it’s for a test system.

I don't know that the Triad One is something I would consider or a "Serious Listening Room"...
Don't get me wrong, I love mine, and have it hooked up to Triad Gold Monitors and it sounds great.  But When I think Listening Room I think B&W 800 Diamonds or similar and I wouldn't be putting the Triad One together with those.   I guess it all depends on how serious your "Listening Room" is and how connected your home is...

Any system with a cost base largely driven by recovering R&D costs, system/digital development, AI vs tons of hardware expense likely will come down some as these companies need volume to make money.   Once you make these investments in software, app, AI etc,  the costs are sunk and the next sale costs them very little so volume pushes them towards profitability....
Doesn't mean it wont always be a luxury item but I would think early adopters will fund a disproportionate amount of the start up costs.    Just an opinion of course!

Some advantages of integrated smoke/fire alarm:
-Additional warning mechanisms locally (speakers, flickering lights) - note that it should never REPLACE regular alarms!
-Additional ways of warning remotely via email/text/push notification to home owner or designated 'outside' people (ie warn when there's smoke at your elderly parent's house)
-Shut off HVAC to prevent smoke from traveling more
-Turn on lights at low levels (bright lights in smoke can be blinding vs helpful)
-More extreme but: activate path lighting to safe exists (floor or baseboard LEds, can even program to only lead to exists where alarm is not triggered yet)
