Double the ram from 1GB to 2GB and flash memory from 4GB to 8 GB and double the price from $300 to $600.....that’s taking apple’s tactics to a new level.

There definitely seem to be some workarounds, but after owning for a month or more now, I find I don't use it at all - literally just sits on a shelf.  In my opinion it's clunky operationally and only half-baked in concept.  I've said before I think the price is spot-on...for a remote that works, but after 5 weeks of use I wouldn't spend $1 on it.  A shame that C4 couldn't have taken the year since they acquired Neeo to actually customize and polish the product before pumping it out to market.  sure it can be hacked and DIY'ed with icons that sort of maybe get the job done, but I'm just looking for something that works and makes life easier - this remote is not that.  at least not yet.  Great potential, but a flop in its current form.  One gets reminded of it's inferiority with a quick look at the remotes from the competition that have been in the market now for several years (yes, I know they cost more, but I'd rather spend $900 on something I'll use vs $600 on a paper weight).

I was going to ask why you'd sell it. I got a few for the new house and we love them. We actually really enjoy the intercom functionality as well.

You can fit the Module and get the dealer to add the driver  
We did our with the dealer over the phone 

None of those ~ you need to buy it from a C€ dealer 
 

We are using SONOS playbar, couple of play3 and sub 
No issues at all to report. 
We are even running  on WIFI - Mini Apps - working straight away.

He ran the ir bug and got it going with a basic driver. 
he then added the driver sonic sent and changed all the connections 
Also added Netflix/YouTube/ amazon mini drivers 
done a quick test and it’s working fine ~ had a issue with the art work but just changed that to art mode (without app) and that’s working too
i had already paired up sky remote and Sonos before they arrived And turn off hdmi Cec

We have version 2 

Remote looks and feels great, Metal housing feels solid but I'm actually a little nervous to let my kids near it for fear of cracking a screen.  I might let them continue to bang up the 260, they crack those every 6 months.  When i unboxed three of the buttons weren't fully snapped in place into the remote, but a little pressure applied and they reattached fully to the remote.  It seems like there hasn't been much development to take advantage of the screen yet.  I sort of expected more unique soft key controls and 1-button shortcuts for Roku channels, appleTV shortcuts, cable channel directory.  The "on screen"soft key more or less replaces the c4 key, but that's not clear if that's the purpose.  A dedicated c4 would have been nice with how much we've trained everyone to use it around my house.  with the "on screen" menu the screen soft keys are redundant and don't actually do anything.  Feels a little rushed to market, but hopefully some quick software updates will allow for real utilization of the screen.  As it's been mentioned elsewhere, visual volume display would be huge here.  The real missed opportunity with this hardware is not putting in a camera, mic, speaker so they can act as intercoms on the system.  That would open up tons of new uses for these around the house in rooms where i don't want to run another wall -mount touchpanel but would benefit from audio and lighting controls.

like to customise my touchscreens - the standard ones take me back to OS2 

Tbh - it's not just the digits I'm referring to. The main use for remotes with my clients tends to be PVR (Sky) operation and so it's  transport keys ff/rw along with play pause guide record menu etc etc. You learn where these feel on the remote and use it without looking down, thats impossible when it comes to touchscreen. 

I must say, I usually jump in and buy... but I am going to wait for a few reviews from end users before I buy this one.... but if I don’t buy the Neeo, I have no doubt I’ll buy the Neeo V2 so please do keep developing 😀
