My suggestion here depends on where u want to go, I suggest 3 routes: 1) As-Is/HC800 Route: - Get another HC800 off eBay make sure it’s the BL version that have the Site License @ $75~$100 then restore your project with minimum hassle - Max OS u can reach on the HC800 is 3.3.0, u can’t move forward - HC800 doesn’t support Apple Bridge so u going to be stuck to other drivers, IR etc - HC800 is an old power hourse but it’s discontinued now and if u want to add any new features u will be left with what u have 2) Modernize/2xEA3+IOX - You have a mid size project, 2 EA3 can drive ur project with the required audio out - EA will allow u to upgrade to latest release 3.3.2 including adding a Halo remote as well - An IOX will provide u with the IO’s needed 3) Future Proof/2xCore 3+IOX - If you have some cash to burn go Core, it will power ur project for the future! - ZWave, etc You still can mix a Core/EA setup!

HC800 max release is 3.3.0 not 3.0.0

Its slow, dosen't provide an instant response when u hit ON/OFF from C4, there is a considerable delay and its not differ on Nest or Google Accounts, Google is incridbly slow with their actions, lack of strategy is very clear!

Well, try to rest it to factory, u need a project backup to be able to restore your project, if it’s back online, image update it to 3.3.0 if u r on OS3, restore ur project. If not online, its may be the flash drive.

Just for your Info, I managed to fix this issue by completely removing the BWD driver and add it again, logged in once and its working ever since, tried 2-3 times controller reboot for different reason and accross all times of day and its working fine!

Apple Music is already integrated to Alexa as a music source, but I think all need a direct native integration within C4 UI.

I have Pushover and its quiet pushy as well, you can program it to send u any critical alert any time of day with a specific tone, I like it as its customizable, out of C4 echo system which is a kind of HA (Highly Available) of alerts, I also have WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Telegram Alerts!

There is a Bug in 3.3.2 that is affecting any EA with DS2, reboot will not fix anything actually any reboot is the cause that Freeswitch hangs, you need to disabe and enable FreeSwitch in System Manager, it will re-re-register afterwards and everything will work again! My understanding is this issue had been reported to C4, but I have no idea if someone is working on it or there is a fix!

Yep, I like the idea of having HA as the integration layer to C4 but I had abandoned it 3 yrs ago, I basically didn’t have the time to waste on it, I understand it matured without a lot of yaml stuff, but still I have a lot to re-learn it. On the other hand I spent like $40k on C4 in the past 10 yrs and it’s the “to go” system for full automation, I integrated everything to it, like you: - Lots of ZB3 sensors (ZB2MQTT) - Apple HomeKit (Geofencing) - BLE devices mainly Flic - RF devices

I didn’t understand your point, you said X2 is superior to Halo and then you said it’s 2 days life so what is super about a remote that need a charging every couple of days? Apparently you didn’t read the part when I said that all WiFi remotes are shitty regardless of the make!

You have put lots of assumptions here, I don’t want to argue but everything is situational and what u say can hold with specific aspects that might not be the case here, most of the cases I helped to fix including mine using spectrum analyzer helped in making life easier for some including 1, 6, 11, 15, 20 and 25 for the crowded 2.4GHz spectrum I didn’t even talk yet about the 5GHz or even the newer 6GHz!
