Look, you're using this forum all wrong... Let me help.
The OP here had some zwave questions. He got some very helpful answers from some knowledgeable folks. You too can get all the info you can handle on any control4 product and just about any 3rd party product that integrates with control4, right here on this forum.
However, people here don't work for control4. It's dealers, end users... and yes some control4 employees, but they're here on their own time and I'm sure cant speak officially for control4.
So when you come here and say "Control4 should do this.." or "Why doesnt control4 do that...?" Honestly, most of us don't know... but if you ask a specific question, chances are you'll get a few pretty informed answers and opinions.

This is also a poor way to describe it.
Depending on how the 3 way is wired, power can be in one box, load in the other, or both can be in the same box. Power can also come in at the light leaving you without a neutral at either box.
As long as power comes to one of the boxes, you can put the dimmer in either box. You can easily send the load or power to the box you want using the travelers.

If your lights are 12v, you’ll need a transformer.
If you want to dim it, consult with the transformer manufacturer on the best type of dimmer to use and install the corresponding C4 dimmer.
Please note, 0-10v dimmers are made for sending a 0-10v dimming signal to drivers/ballasts that are made to accept that signal. They are NOT meant to supply voltage directly to your low voltage light fixtures.

Nothing against you wanting to get gear for cheap. Who doesn’t want that? You’ll just have to put in the time negotiating and comparing dealer’s prices against each other.

I do however have to roll my eyes at the ‘marginal’ comment. I mean really? Don’t start commenting how you think a business model should be structured, then make a comment like that. No expense is ‘marginal’ when you run a business.
Overhead? Insurance? Training? Employees? Tools? Software? K-Cups? Pens? TeamViewer license?
    Marginal!
Again, you wanna fish for someone to sell you gear on the cheap, go for it, I’d do the same. As others have said, it’s been done with great results. Just leave it at that then, no need to wow us with your business acumen and percent signs.

Credit card is 3-5%. And the computer to process it costs money. You have to buy it. You have to have internet. Someone to ring it up... Power.

Brownbatsbreath got a reaction from Anish in OS3 Slow to Connect
I feel like every Control4 OS release has someone in the first week saying “app is so much faster”
Then a few weeks later someone saying their app is super slow. You can’t discount individual networks and phone configurations in all of this.

I have a control 4 system on 2.9 and a Crestron system on the same network. Apps for both open under a second and a half on my iPhone X locally.

Between 2.53 and 2.9 I’ve never seen the local connection take longer then 2 seconds.

This is all using the Built in garbage ISP router as well.

Yep. I considered that for NYC.
Also that means baseline programing should be in the system before inspector walk-through so buttons behave as they would expect, not as you promise.

You probably need to call your dealer to do this work.  Or try finding a remote dealer on these forums here, lot’s of good folks
Should we start the dealer vs diy debate?  🙂 🙂 🙂
