  1. 14 seems like overkill for 70v. Are you running a few thousand feet?
  2. Good. I've only ever seen reverse on a remote when the motor is DC... but I'm from the North and maybe only ever wired up about 40 or so fans.
  3. This Treatlife fan and light switch can be flashed with Tasmota for control with MQTT. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086PPRWL7 https://www.treatlife.tech/products/smart-ceiling-fan-control-and-light-dimmer-switch-neutral-wire-needed-treatlife-single-pole-wi-fi-light-switch-fan-speed-control-works-with-alexa-google-assistant-schedule-remote-control
  4. Nice. Do you know the actual model and make of the fans? Curious if these are actually DC fans.
  5. The 3-way and the dimmers are priced well also. The 3 way if connected to load can be paired with a conventional non smart 3 way switch. So if you have a 3 way setup you can replace one of them with the smart switch.
  6. If you go to the parts area of the doorbird site you can order the front panel in a wide variety of of colors. Click on housings and panels. https://www.doorbird.com/buy They use a RAL color chart and codes.
  7. If you use month and day with it can work. Using a date with a year is the problem. If the month is 6 and the day is 30... if the month is 7 and the day between 1 and 6...
  8. This is where going to the options that support MQTT have an advantage.
  9. Buy one and try the clicky clicky before you buy a bunch. So many of the smart switches feel super playskool and unpleasant. Its a personal choice, but I think many people overlook the feel of switches.
  10. Have you gone to the Bond site and read about the product? Those two items can be in the same room together, but they speak different languages.
  11. I was speaking of the potential with bond supported rf. I understand how that might not have been clear.
  12. Pressing reason? Like a button? RF doesn't have a line of sight issue and one Bond hub can live somewhere out of sight and serve most if not all of the location. With the right RF receiver you get two way communication. Alan pointed this out. So, if you use the remote (that is RF) to turn on the fan to speed 3 then the Bond hub knows its on speed 3 and then with the integration Control3 knows its on speed 3. Have you looked at the Bond product and its features? Do you know the make and model of the fan you have that is IR controlled?
  13. Interesting. "Control4 Value" for #13 isn't documented if I understood that correctly, Yes?
  14. They could go to 11. Just sayin.
  15. Ok, I reset the shield then installed the app. I got this when I selected update firmware.
  16. Do you know if you can fit an RF receiver in the fan to replace the IR?
  17. Have you checked the Bond fcc search for your remotes to see if they are already supported? You can do that on their website. I'd replace that IR fan. There are literally over 100 fans at Home Depot that support bond or even come with a Bond hub. Instead of buying a separate hub, maybe just buy a fan with the hub. Also, you can get a universal remote/receiver set for like $50 to upgrade fans so that might be an option.
  18. Interesting. I actually think its due to your app somehow. This is a fresh out of the box 2019 Shield. Highly unlikely that the unit had issues. I'll reset it and reinstall.
