    BINGO!
Didn't realize I needed to have it scan for stations, but seems obvious now.
Channels now show up as an option for the Tuner, although the Onkyo is not tuning properly.  Will have to play with this.
And as I guessed, the solution here also applied to why the UHF/VHF Antenna for my Sony TV was the same way, not appear in the Navigator's menus.  Scanned there, and now they do.
    Many thanks!

Don Cohen got a reaction from SMHarman in Google Assistant, Android Auto, and Garage Door Control
I just upgraded from 2.10.6 to 3.1.0, and everything is working fine.  One feature I wanted to utilize is the Google Assistant integration.
I had previously discovered that Google Home functions can be initiated when driving, through Android Auto.  I have a Google Nest Hub in our Bedroom, controlling some Bulbs (installed previous to Control4).  Just for kicks, I told Google to "turn on the Bedroom Lights" while I was driving, and I was surprised to find that it worked!  That got me thinking.
I just added control of our Garage Doors to our home, and my goal was to be able to tell the Google Assistant while I'm driving, and getting near home, to "Unlock the House" and it would open my garage door, unlock the door to the house, and turn on selected lights.  This would be pretty slick!
The Garage Door Controls don't show up as controllable devices within Google Home, so I had to figure out another way to get this working.
In Composer Pro, I found Google Assistant available as a separate Driver, so I created a Voice Scene there, and programmed it to do exactly what I outlined above.  I went to the Voice Control section of the customer Control4 portal, hit Discover Devices, and it found this new voice scene.  I saved changes, and after playing with the syntax, found it worked.
If I'm in my car, with Android Auto running, I just hit the button on the steering wheel to activate Google Assistant, tell it to "Turn on Unlock the House" and it does exactly what I wanted: opens the garage door, unlocks the garage door lock, and turns on selected lights.
I don't care for the Syntax, having to say "Turn on unlock the house" rather than just "unlock the house" but that's a fairly small compromise to get this working.
I don't recall seeing any posts on using Android Auto to work with Control4, so thought I'd just put this out there.

Don Cohen got a reaction from South Africa C4 user in Voice Scene Disappeared?
In the course of figuring something else out, I solved this mystery.
"Lock the House" was created as a 'Routine' within the Alexa App, and *not* as a Voice Scene.  Or perhaps it worked better as a Routine, so I deleted the Voice Scene.
For ease of use, I normally open Alexa on my PC, but forgot that creating Routines, for whatever reason, is not an option there.
'Alexa Routines' are a more convenient way to use natural English to issue commands: with Voice Scenes, I'd have to say 'Alexa, turn on lock the house' while with a Routine, I can simply use "Alexa, Lock the House" as the trigger phrase.  And any Voice Scenes within Control4 can be added to any Alexa Routine, so it does give me all the flexibility needed.
This was driving me crazy - hopefully this will be of use to somebody else.

If you have it set to normally closed, then it would stay closed...which would mean when you push the button on the wall to close the circuit it doesn’t do anything because it’s already closed. Make sense?

    Just to report back:
I copied the Binary 3x1 HDMI Switcher driver to the appropriate Control4 folder, then added the driver to my Project.  I configured all the connections as they were with the original one, deleted the original driver and connections, and everything is working perfectly.  Ready for the 3.1 upgrade now.
Thanks for the advice and help freely given here!

Well, just reporting back what was confirmed to me, you can use the 2 Relays on the Z2IO to control the motors on 2 garage doors.  You would then need 2 sensors, one for each door, to monitor their status.  That could be done with a pair of tilt sensors, or with another single Z2IO, using its 2 available Contacts.
The tilt sensors can be used on their own, while the 2nd Z2IO would need 2 sets of door contacts to wire to.

As chopedogg88 said, shorting terminals doesn’t work for MyQ door openers. To test that it work for you garage door, take a screw driver and short it between the two terminals on the door. The door opener should start moving the door up/down immediately, just like pressing the button on the wall.

Yes they connect to red and white. You can use cat5 or any thin gauge wire (not stranded). This doesn't work if you have a MyQ opener. Any other standard/dumb opener should be fine. If it's myQ then you are better off just buying the driver for $200 and saving yourself the wiring and cost of z2io.

    You have composer Pro?

You'd drag and drop the devices you describe to their new rooms then delete the empty old rooms.

Ok, I see what you mean.
For my customer, with one garage door, he would need just the one Z2IO, mounted at the Garage Door Motor, and then hard-wire to the Contact Sensor on the door, saving him the expense of one of the Z2IO's in the Garage Door Bundle, and one of the Door Contact Sensors.  Am I understanding this right?
In my situation, with 2 garage doors, since I need 2 Relays, 2 Contact Sensors, I would still need the full Garage Door Bundle, correct?
Thanks for confirming no lower cost native option - I want to right by my customer.

I would stay with the Control4 kit because MyQ has not certified or approved any integration. The drivers that work with MyQ are a hack and MyQ could break them at their own desire.
There is a polling delay with the MyQ and MyQ requires the cloud (i.e. internet).
The Control4 one would work regardless of internet and the status would update immediately.

Thank you both for the quick replies, and info.
Adding a $200 driver to work with MyQ doesn't seem cost effective, since we'd be approaching the cost of the superior Control4 solution (and both his and mine are retrofit, not new construction).
I've been working with the customer, and he realizes that the superior integration and programmability of Control4, across all his devices, is one of the main differences between this and a Best Buy system.  He is willing to spend more, but it has to be within reason; I understand where he's coming from.
That's why I'm checking here, to make sure I'm not overlooking another option to give the same level of control and integration, but without a huge increase in cost.
Any other ideas or options are welcome.

    1. It really wasn't designed for an NVR and Luma cams would definitely be more than likely to have a better integration with a Luma NVR. I don't believe I had issues with the DS2 Camera motion record using a BlueIris NVR.
    2. The DS2 can be set up with an alternate camera to get a better angle if the DS2 itself cannot be moved.
    3. Unfortunately, the intercom system rings or 'chimes' once per doorbell press. The installer can use an announcement to have a better ring for the doorbell.
    4. iirc, whatsapp, facebook messenger, slack, skype, etc all don't bypass the lock when a call goes through. It may a bit much to expect it to work like a regular call.
    5. May not be an obvious reason, but I've only seen that issue when there is a network issue. You'll want to have someone check the throughput, also the length of cable. Also see if the connection is better when on 4G as the issue could be the WiFi and not the network cable going to the DS2.

You don't have to create the Toggle.  It is just an option that can be checked ON/OFF.
I'ts good for things like "Kitchen ON"- where all lights in the Kitchen are in the scene.
Kitchen ON Toggle- would typically just be the OFF scene.
