I love it. iPhone 13 Pro and iPad 11” Pro are both almost instant after initial refresh. Great job C4! I can’t wait to see what you guys are rolling out in IOS 3.3 or is it 4.0 :).

As a mobile dev that works for Snap One (Control4) one of the duties we perform is to look on the forums for issues being reported on the mobile platform. If you would like your issue to be noticed you can help out by creating your title in a manner that helps us identify the post as one that's in need of some help/troubleshooting for the mobile apps. The posts that catch our eye are ones that are in the Troubleshooting and bugs discussion board. I propose you start your title first with the platform you're having an issue with then the feature or component that doesn't seem to be working correctly.
    Example Titles
iOS: Intercom not working on ..... iOS: Camera does not stream when (remote/local) etc Android: Now Playing doesn't..... Another thing we will always ask you when trying to support you is what is your director version and app version. It's helpful if you can already include that in the description of your post along with the steps you follow to cause the issue. Once we see your post we'll reach out to let you know we are creating a ticket and ask you to PM your email so we can work with you directly on the issue. We would also most likely ask for your application logs at this point in the direct communcation.

I noticed the difference in speed, much better and faster in LAN mode, I have to test it with 4Sight but it’s much better on IOS 15.4.1, iPhone 13 Pro Max

Jonathan, C4 Engineer got a reaction from Andrew luecke in How to use Composer on Apple Silicon
This and what @416to305 are correct and what the devs have to do in order to use Composer on the new M1 Mac Silicon. The ARM architecture of the computer does affect the VM. Most of us are using Parallels and the Windows 11 ARM release. Do those things and you'll also not have any problem running composer. As an added bonus you can actually get OS3 from the App Store and run it directly on an M1. It's not officially supported but from most of our uses it works pretty well. The only oddity I've found is cameras has a odd color tint to the video feed. Not that many people are using it yet but if more people do and report errors it would probably get more attention to resolving them.

I can create a ticket for you if you like for the devs to take a look at your issue. You can PM me directly. Include your email, what version of director and the iOS app you're using in the message. Also include what iPhone model you're using since you indicated it's a specific issue to your device.

Just wanted to give an update to let you all know we hear your concerns and feel them too. Many of the developers at SnapOne/Control4 use the systems in their home and have 1 or more mobile devices we test our homes against (iOS and Android). There are some things we as developers on the platform can do in order to make the app as fast as possible in connecting to the controller, both locally and remote. There are some things we are doing within the app to improve this and some things out of our hands that involve overall infrastructure changes and support from other groups outside of the developer group to improve this. Things are in motion to get this all to happen and I am sure once it's done the results should be a great improvement. It is currently a top priority in the mobile dev group and a lot of engineering effort is going into this pain point.

We want the app as fast as possible as well, and strive to make this a reality. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to bring a much faster experience to iOS (we have some catching up to do) and Android users.

On the mobile side it really doesn't take away resources to work on those areas. We have developers working on all 3 of the areas mentioned by @wnpublic.  Media wall does have an important place in the platform and has been highly requested feature allowing dealers more lines of revenue than they previously had before. This didn't come at a sacrifice to intercom or performance issues that are also being worked on. Those previously mentioned pain points each have their own unique challenges and problems to work through but are of high priority to the dev team to resolve. I hope that calms any fears about the focus of work.
