  1. Should be fine, though I dislike running the exact amount of conductors I need. Plus you might end up considering wanting to get RGBW (needing 5 conductors) - RGB set to white tends to, well not be really white.

Driver for all types of Telus Optik Set-top boxes (PVR or non PVR, HD/Non-HD). Listed manufacturer is Telus, driver type is Cable

IR driver for PS3 control using Logitech adapter. Full control - including power on/off. Note that much like the Sony Bluetooth remote, the adapter itself does not function in some few scenario's, mainly when Playing PS1/PS2 (disc)games, reading a disc just inserted, ejecting a disk, also very occasionally when loading movie menus or right as it's exiting a game or movie. As the driver is IR and one-way, this can occasionally cause a power off command to fail. For best result on power off, STOP any PS1/2 games and wait a second or two. As the power off is based on pulling up a menu (same as if you use a controller), and to cover all possible menu options, the power down is SLOW to execute - don't get impatient if it doesn't shut off right away. Please see this thread for IR placement: http://www.c4forums.com/topic/16534-ps3-logitech-adapter-ir-bud-placement/
  4. Any microphone that you can in some way output line-level 'could' be plugged into a matrix or amp, and programming on a button done to switch desired zones to that input.
  5. While a great driver, this still isn't a live voice broadcast.
  6. The Enttec I can confirm (or DMXking eDMX with the same driver ) you can.
  7. Or, if you only want on/off on the white, use a relay for the white to begin with - free drivers are available to have it show as a light.
  8. Be careful assuming. Many RGBW strips have a shared +12v across all four which potentially you can't use two seperate decoders (will depend on the decoders, hoe they are powred etc). Also make sure if you have a 4channel decoder that it is in fact 4 true channels, I've had several where the 4th channel is not a true connected channel (even though it had connectors!!!) but the 4th channel is a master channel for overal brightness. Personally I prefer using a standard RGB decoder and putting white with blue (or any color) on a relay - blue out from decoder to COM, NO/NC to White/Blue. This works fine with the EV driver (as it allows channel setting and having channels nrs more than once) - I cannot say if it works on the one this thread refers to. Note - does require some added programming of course to switch the relay and force virtual master channels to go to 100% on turning on (if you use it).
  9. No light no control isn't a good sign. Just to be sure check if there's no breakers off. Also make sure wiring behind it didn't come loose (this would be bad). If neither, have it replaced.
  10. I tested this, and email from C4 is withing seconds of triggering alarm. Unless I'm durned lucky in my timing...
  11. I'd say the API Nest brought out is a bit limited and I'm not sure I'd recommend the Nest be used directly due to this - but if the unit's own functionality (self learning, the feel good email every month) is what you want, it integrates quite well for simple control functions. The lacking point is really that it goes silent when in away mode, so the ability to USE the Nest as a trigger for other purposes is limited at that point (for example, temperature/status reads to control integrate blinds to open/close making better use of the sun/blocking sun heating, a very nice energy savings issue the 'green' Nest doesn't really work for) - including for those that WANT to be able to manually (remotely) manage temperature in the house. The Nest Protect is not affected by this mind you. Note that this is purely due to Nest's API (possibly it's internal functionality) - which reminds me that I need to have a little chat with my 'works with Nest' contact.
  12. The registration would be stored in a config file that doesn't get deleted on uninstall, so that's not surprising as such. I'll keep an eye out on the issue as well.
  13. Hmm, so I'm guessing you installed overtop of an existing HE install, and thus never had to enter the license key again, correct?
  14. LOL. I'll pass it on when I get a chance. Weird though.
  15. As per his other thread it seems his license has 'dissapeared'. Without it no download would help - and it's likely the reason the download isn't showing to begin with.
  16. No worries, it happens a lot - so often I don't bother correcting anymore . Only reason DogDVR knows is because he saw the additional undersctipt I put on the dealer forum
  17. On Screen Display - it has a little start-up and connecting screen - so even if the connection TO the unit is bad, you should still see the unit - makes locating the source of the problem at least a little easier. And I ment on the TV for the bad port.
  18. It sounds like the issue is at the TV. If you replaced the JAP unit behind it, and the HDMI to the TV, There's no other conclusion to make - like I said the JAP units have their own OSD upon startup (and often on connection loss but that isn't a 100%) - if you can't show THAT at least, theres no use looking in front of it. Best thing you can hope for is that it's just a bad HDMI port, not a busted HDMI board. Or that it still has warranty.
  19. With JAP, rebbot the JAP with TV on, you should see a load screen. If not, TV may be on the wrong input, or HDMI isn't fully connected. Do that first, if you still don't get picture report back.
  20. Both, though time is the more likely issue here - think it's...20 seconds?
  21. No disrespect - but how many of these WeMo drivers, free or otherwise are out there by now....
