Voice will be the UI when the pocket screen is no longer an object of our affection.
Over-simplifying people into "glued to screen", and it's a "communicator".
The glued to screen who live through their phone on social media, music, streaming, email, text, and all their apps, will not look beyond it for other means of world interaction.
Why do I want anything else? Everything I need is right here, in my hand, every waking moment. This is my world.
On the other hand, people who aren't so, are more living in the moment and voice becomes a 'less techy' way to interact with their environment. No touchscreen (wall phone), not keypad (button phone), not remote (wireless button phone). They also tend to be less control detailed. I want classic rock, set the lighting to chill. Not the extra thoughts of which artist or song, or what do I need to achieve chill, let me spend 10 minutes getting that just right, opps lost that mood moment.
And with AI being drawn into voice now, it's a simpler place to get the answers to questions; no typing, searching, clicking, opening closing, etc.
Again, less screen time. I spend all day at work staring at a screen, typing, mousing.
Addressing time2jet's comment regarding the automated house, reacting based on time, location etc. You're right. But who's going to program that? That's a lot of personal information for a programmer to learn from a client who took 10 minutes choosing white or black speakers, and the ideal client isn't interested in spending his own hours to figure it out. And their spouse is different from them, so double that, and they may have little interest, I just want to flip a switch. For the few though, their is added satisfaction is defining that perfect moment. So ultimately it will come with a learning AI.
I always laugh when Piccard has to ask for Earl Gray Tea Hot. Really? He can self destruct the ship with a voice command, but has to go all Alexa for a drink. "Tea" that's all, fix the programming. Now granted maybe other times he wants it different, but not that we see, should have a default. (Or perhaps Star Trek is incorporating the Dune doctrine of non thinking machines, nerd but not super nerd).
Josh AI isn't there yet, but it's the closest.
Watch your client, glued to their phone, it's a hard sell.

Those Smart Wifi controllers from Home Depot work awesome with the bond driver. However, you can't seem to get them anymore.  You have to search ebay.

BL-1 required for using the mobile app and updates, without it's very useless.
HC800s fail typically from bad power supply, or memory drive.
One time freeze is a little early to be replacing, as the one you get could be a problem in disguise, they're all old.

Recommend do not put the cable in the conduit until after the concrete is set.
The curing process gives off heat, and could damage the conductor's insulation/twist of the cable depending on conduit, thickness, application process, covering, etc.

    Right?
Lots of AI engines to do the processing, all they need is a mic in a keypad lighting body.
Use the same buttons snap on idea to make both styles. Top tripple button for the mics, and then for do not disturb, and feedback, mute and volume use the other 3 slots.

Who knows, Amazon's loosing money in the Alexa department, they could rent out the server that does the voice to data part to pay the rent.

Brainboxes (Drivercentral -Janus) are industrial and the solution for the high temperature, but not for your wallet, several hundred dollars.

Can you put the relay on the power feed in the house before it goes out to the gate?

    Summary of the suit:
    1. We paid 10 million for Neeo, and integrated their people. Designed a new version.
    2. Their primary people left us and started a competitor using our tech, in violation of an exit agreement.
    3. Copying our design to the point of quoted comments it’s the same thing.
    4. We told them to stop integration to our platform and use of trademarks, they stopped the promotion but Snap was forced to break the integration.
    5. Josh AI and Control4 had agreements to work together to integrate the two platforms, including software. (including no working behind and around our backs)
    6. Knowing all that AVA and Josh AI got together
    7. Releasing the Josh Remote
    8. Both remotes are copies of our patents, tech, design, and confidential property
    9. Bad blood, Josh AI had an agreement to have dealers buy from Snap, Josh circumvented. Made other agreements with a buying group, refused to accept product back, and finally bought back at 50% off.
    10. We asked nicely, now were suing.

RAV got a reaction from pinkoos in Replacing Araknis hardware with Ubiquiti
Eero is designed for dummies. And as such when you need it to do something some engineer decided no one needs, then you're stuck and have to rip it out.
It's all good until it bites you, and in many projects it may behave, or it could be when you get a new widget and find it just wont work on their platform, or suddenly start having issues you never had after an update.
Dealers once bitten, don't go back.
Replace your APs. Ubiquiti or Ruckus Unleashed.
If you don't want to be your own system admin with Ubiquiti, maybe it's time your dealer takes a serious look at Ruckus.

I setup Music Off, Music, and volume up/down on keypads.
Music sets to a station, another tap, a different station etc.
    Music Off:
If Room off, checks nearby rooms If On in a desired order, and sets to same of first valid, or sets to first preset if none other are on.
If Room is on, turns off.

In programing, under the room's variables, is "Currently Selected Device" which you can set to any other rooms "Currently Selected Device"
    (Room Driver does similar)

RAV reacted to Darin, PM C4 CX Platform in Why does the Core3 report back constantly to events.split.io?
LollerAgent is 100% correct, we added Split.io into the Control4 platform and applications back around 2019 when we moved to more modern software development and deployment processes. The frequency of polling was actually something we disliked about Split.io and earlier this year we moved off Split.io to Launch Darkly.  So I'm surprised to see a Core controller still talking to Split.io. @416to305 I've sent you a DM for some system info, so I can have an engineer take a look at what is going on.

I believe pi hole devices block communication to both Split.io and Launch Darkly, so you may want to consider whitelisting Launch Darkly to receive new features as they become available.
    pihole -w launchdarkly.com clientstream.launchdarkly.com stream.launchdarkly.com clientsdk.launchdarkly.com sdk.launchdarkly.com app.launchdarkly.com events.launchdarkly.com mobile.launchdarkly.com

If you just want to display the webpage from Tempest on interfaces, the Control4's webview driver will work fine.
If you want the variables and all that, then you'll need the paid driver.

Z210 will work, or any other pair of relays.
They also make it in 110 that you can just connect to a wall switch or plug in outlet.

Their page, can pick wire type and voltage to sort

What kind of lights, how many? You might be able to get away with a Control4 dimmer power stealing.

Wall light switches are not rated for enclosed locations. If there's an attic or storage area above the fixture, and you follow code, than sure.
Otherwise, you could use a Shelly 1 or similar in the ceiling box of the first fixture.

Do you want a controlled water valve?
    Or a Smart water valve?

Controlled valve can be low or high voltage, relay controlled, and the Control4 system does all the smart stuff.
Smart valves (Moen, Sinope etc), use their own sensors, app shut off water as their app has it programmed, and then you may also be able to integrate with it for status and over rides.

    Controlled, under $100
    Smart, many hundreds

So you don't want #1 in the qualifications.
So 2 rooms is required, 2 sets of amp channels.
They may as well be on different sides of the house, as to operations and design.
The system can setup links and such, but it's all treated as 2 rooms.

    Same Zone qualifications:
    1. play the same thing
    2. both be on together
    3. don't need individual volume in the app
    4. appropriate amplification design and sound quality expectations
2 & 3 can be locally addressed easily with passive in wall volume controls.
