  1. I have both, hardwired sensors thru my security panel and Moen Flo. The benefit of integrating both into C4 is you can shut down the water if a leak is detected by one of the hardwired sensors ahead of the Moen Flo.
  2. For those of us that have been asking for this driver for many years I am happy to pay the $275. I know for some that is too much but it takes financial incentive to write drivers like this.
  3. I’ve had the beta running in my system since July and it has been rock solid. My set up includes two Infinity Systems, one with 6 zones and one with three zones. I recommend this driver for anyone wanting to integrate their Infinity HVAC system into C4.
  4. The programming to do this is quite simple. Especially if you already have a macro to set your lighting scenes.
  5. 13 years ago my theatre volume would spike occasionally. My Yamaha AVR was IR controlled and my speakers were Martin Logan. I never blew the speakers but certainly hurt my ears. Much has changed in 13 years. It sounds like the amp was oversized for the speakers. But after 13 years, you could use an upgrade.
  6. Any device that takes a 0-10v or 1-10v dimmer. For example, I have some inline variable speed fans that take a 1-10v signal. So power does not come from this switch (typically).
  7. There IS or IS NOT native support for Pocketcasts in Control4?
  8. If you have a multi stage or variable air conditioner coupled with a variable speed fan, and the right thermostat for your system, you can dehumidify your house.
  9. I believe there are two versions of the BMS driver. Which do you use/recommend?
  10. I have AudioControl matrix amps and theater pre-amp. My amps have volume limits which I can’t override without going into the amp setup directly. I’m not sure C4 has a limit setting.
  11. Many years ago. But not recently. But the very reason I set the max volume for each zone to a level the speakers and amp can handle.
  12. Are you suggesting it is that easy to get a dealer account? If so, I’m in :).
  13. My system was upgraded but I have been unable to find the recently played. Where would I find this?
  14. 14 years ago, I had the HC1000 which I paid a ton for at the time. The HC800 blew it away when it came out, followed by the EA5 and now the CORE. HA technology and equipment have evolved to a whole new world over the past 14 years and the C4 organization, hardware and software has evolved from essentially a startup. While I do expect device EOL will always be a risk in technology, my guess is we will begin to see longer equipment life as C4 continues to mature. At the same time, I expect we will see an acceleration in system capabilities that will require equipment updates if we as users chose to adopt. That said, there is a price to be paid if you want to keep any product platform up to date on latest technology - whether that is the latest cell phone, latest smart watch, latest car, latest tv, or you name it. Heck, I now have to pay an annual fee to keep features in my car up to date.
  15. Current industrial systems incorporating the latest in robotics, ai, and smart servos can not run with Siemens or AB controllers from 10 years ago let along 30 years ago. And controllers that are 10 years old can’t run anything beyond Windows 7 (now EOL). Sure, the controllers themselves still run and the equipment as originally designed and built 10 years ago may run for another 20 years, but that same system can not be upgraded with current servo or robotic technology without also upgrading the controller. And that same controller cannot be upgraded with windows security features beyond Windows 7. Users should not expect to be able to upgrade software on EOL controllers. Nor should they expect an EOL controller to necessarily integrate with all current devices.
  16. You have no idea what you are talking about with this statement.
  17. I waited almost a year for T4’s to replace my T3’s and the same for new locks. If a device is nearing hardware EOL I would like sufficient notice so that I do not have to wait a year to take advantage of new features.
  18. So much easier said then done. And even if possible, would likely extend the release of new software features by months if not longer. And much cheaper to upgrade your hardware than pay for the cost of code to dumb down the hardware.
  19. Thank you C4 for advancing the hardware and software platforms to enhance the user experience. As I long time user I am happy to see the accelerated pace of change and enhancement these past few years. And as a long time user, it’s hard for me to appreciate the complaints regarding EOL on the HC800 that was released 10 year ago. I look forward to the 3.3.1 enhancements, while respecting those that chose to remain on 3.3.0 because they do not want to upgrade or remove their HC800! That said, it would be nice if C4 could provide sufficient advanced notice on device EOL so impact users have time to upgrade hardware should they chose.
  20. I would contact control 4 and have my lawyer contact the dealer with a demand for all money paid for programming. As you explain it, so one side of the story, your dealer doesn’t know what he’s doing. Probably didn’t want anyone else seeing his programming. Hope UK law supports you as homeowner.
  21. @Nwills just curious what type of system you had in your two houses? Lighting? Audio? TV’s?, security? Camera’s?. Stand alone all this can be done with a variety of open systems. Integrated into one platform, not so much.
