Heated towel rail control (although I think that is actually done via a light switch in my setup), jacuzzi cover control (keep it local and in line of sight), fireplace control, patio roof control... the only limiting factor is your imagination

Monkey deterrents (seriously I have those at our beach house), Irrigation control, underfloor heating control, gates, garage doors, heat pumps, geysers, motion sensors (if no alarm system), fountain control, etc. The options are limitless. I have all of the above (of the top of my head) and more (memory is going, so I can’t think what else).

Ok, I’ve just spent 10 seconds on Tidal (using my iPad) and if I select a track, it plays it, adds it to the queue and plays it instantly which seems sensibly. Equally, if I click on the 3 dot menu to the far right of the track, it gives me various options (like play next) and if I choose any of these, it does exactly what the menu option says.

I use Tidal a lot at present but have not seen this behavior. I will play around a bit and see if I can duplicate your problem.

50% is perfect on my speakers but on my T3s, even 90% is low. Not sure why. I have also never played announcements to T3s before, so I am not sure what is normal.

Is there any easy way to increase the volume of the wav file returned? The reason I ask is 2 fold: 1. The volume is low relative to the music we play etc. so I may have music playing at, say 20 and the need to play the announcement at 5. When the system returns to playing the music, it blasts for a second or two and then returns to volume at 20 and is ok. The fix for this used to be to use a Stop Delay in the announcements Agent but this does not help in OS3 (not sure why - may be a bug). 2. More importantly, when I play the announcement on any of my T3s (in reality, I have only played with this for fun and will probably never use it in real life), the volume is too low even when set to 90.

Are you sure that it is muting (I.e. do you see a mute icon) on a navigator? If not, then try testing a very long start delay (20,000 milli seconds) in case the Russound is just taking a long time to prep for the announcement. Should this work, you can try decreasing the delay until you get as short a delay as possible that actually works.

I am in a similar situation and use Tidal now and integrates really well.

I have not seen anything on the forums about the patch that was released recently to fix the Shairbridge issue in OS3. My dealer ran the patch for me today and it seems to have done the trick... fingers crossed. I don’t quite understand why this was done as a patch rather than a new OS version but very glad that it has been done. Thank you C4!

I have seen a Beta version of the app (not sure if I should have seen this, nor am I sure how far we are away from an iOS app update) but I can say that from what I saw, it looks to me like the next version of the app will load up on a local network in about 1/3 of the time that the current app takes... In short, I am not in the know, but do believe that this will be resolved soon! Those in the know are probably constrained from commenting.

I have noticed on all of my T3 Touchscreens that if I use the intercom (or Intercom Anywhere), the camera picture is different from what it used to be on OS2. I am not quite sure of whether the picture has moved right a bit or if the area covered by the camera has simply got smaller on all sides but it has definitely changed (maybe the camera zoomed in slightly?). Items that I used to see have fallen off of the picture. I have noticed this at both my main home and my Beach house, so am comfortable that this is not just one system. Has anyone else seen this? Is there, perhaps, a setting that I am missing?

One thing that I have always thought would be super cool for a text to speech driver is to allow concatenation of a few sound effects... For instance, I would love my door bell announcement to concatenate a “ding dong” sound effect with a TTS “Someone is at the door” at some times of day.

I’ve never used MAX_ON_LEVEL but I suspect that you may be able to achieve what you want using PRESET_LEVEL

I would have thought that you could use the fre Yatun thermostat driver (or possibly the Control4 temperature viewer - probably have the name wrong) driver to display the second temperature. It may require a few lines of code. I know that I show both the internal and external values for other equipment (Z2IO) in this way.

Absolutely loving playing with the TTS driver combined with weather and other drivers. What I am finding a bit weird is that for some drivers I need to use the proxy ID and for others I need to use the Device ID when concatenating into the TTS text. I have no idea why this is. Not am issue (but worth knowing hence this post). One or other always works. There is probably a very good reason for this. It is simply above my pay grade.
