-defunct- got a reaction from South Africa C4 user in Os 3.1 bug
I would review the projects. From the large amounts it has been reported, it seems most from Control4 were saying and found it to be something other than the Control4 products and drivers.

Hmmm, do you mean the EA-3? The EA1 only has an HDMI out. No 3.5mm for audio.

It doesn't need an internet connection, unless there are drivers that are causing issues that do require internet.

It does, however, require a stable local network.

Have to go to 2.5.3 first. An HC300/HC200 will be needed.

-defunct- got a reaction from sonic30101 in How do I assign a static IP to the controller accessible from the Internet?
The best way would be to use a VPN. You really don't want to have an open port exposed to your system.

EA5 also has two digital coax outputs that you can use with the Triad AMS or a DAC.

If it still doesn't work after updating the firmware. You could get a Ruckus and make a WiFi they can connect to.
That would at least make them stable, not sure if your phone would also need to be on the same WiFi.
(Personal opinion, toss the Ubiquiti, get a real network).

They find new customers and lose old customers 😉
For real though, that's standard. Can't appease every single customer.

Only 1 runs the director service. No way for a failsafe to switch to another controller within the project as of now. I have tried pointing 2 separate directors at an audio matrix for testing purposes. That part works to control the matrix but the touch panels are a 1 to 1 as well as the slave controllers on screen there is probably more. I gave up interest after seeing it is not viable.

I would be upset too. Roku is hands down the easiest and most rock-solid to integrate. You can have drivers that auto start the apps. So you select Netflix, then you're already there.

I'm assuming you are using an iPhone. Is it set to switch off WiFi when the screen is off?
I tested on Android and connection to the system (locally) is under half a second from opening the app. The phone 'sleeps' after 30s of no use and then the app takes about 3s to connect.

Best thing to do would be update the system to 2.10.6. Everything minus the CA10 is compatible with that version.

Didn't find the answer and screwing around with windows brought back too many memories  I don't care to revisit.
Broke down and went Windows 10 ..... on //'s ver15. Works great I have to say. This was an added cost to my DIY upgrade to 3.1
I have an HC 800 and an older C4 touch screen that is not supported, so I replaced it with a Kindle Fire, pretty slick.
Used the POE injector from original screen with a splitter. Have ordered a 90 degree connector to tidy up the connection.
