I have an EA-3 that controls my Anthem MRX520 in a 5.1 set up in my family room. I'd like to add a pair of outdoor speakers as a separate zone to my set up and utilize my existing Apple TV to play music outside. I contacted Anthem who responded with this: You need a separate 2ch amplifier to power the z2 speakers. You can use the apple TV as a mirrored video source using out2, but you will need an HDMI extractor to put sound out to z2 I do have an old Rotel receiver that I could repurpose to drive the outdoor speakers. So should I ditch trying to use the MRX520 second zone and use the old Rotel to with control4 instead? My thought was I could have the Rotel added back into my set up and use an IR emitter for control and send audio to the Rotel using a 3.5mm to RCA plugs. The 3.5mm analog plug is the only audio out I have left on the EA-3 so hopefully that is ok. Thanks, Jeff

I thought HSIM module was dead in the water? I use it in my Vista 20 panel. I haven’t upgraded to 3.x yet because I thought the HSIM wasn’t supported any longer. It sounds like someone is doing work to (hopefully) allow integration? Although the above scenario is exactly why I haven’t asked my dealer to attempt this. Jeff

Bill, You might want to look into Berto’s solution, it is pretty great. Just got it up and running yesterday. You just need a dealer for the driver install and can do the rest yourself. Control4 finally in iOS. Jeff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry I meant I’m using a control4 outlet switch inside the landscape lighting box and it works fine. I think it is zigbee.

I’m doing this. Works fine even though it’s inside a stainless steel box. Wouldn’t you be worried about a zigbee signal and not WiFi in this case? I have some dimmers inside maybe 15 ft away which helps the zigbee signal. Jeff

Do you need wired motion sensors added to get this to work? Just trying to think how this would be installed in an existing home (not new build). Jeff

I got a Sommer garage opener off of Amazon. German made, incredibly quiet, little slow up and down. Integrates no problem with old school Card Access hardware. Jeff

Hey guys, Trying to get my house lights to turn off by using a 3 second press and hold on the bottom button of the master bedroom dimmer. Attached is the screenshot of my programming. The lights turn off and the alarm system arms when I push the execute button, but it does not work when I try to press and hold from the actual dimmer in the master bedroom. I'm missing something... I've refreshed and refreshed navs. Thanks, Jeff

Hey guys, Wife painted the bedroom and now wants white dimmers instead of our current light almond. Does anyone have a gen 1 LDZ-101 dimmer in white? Could even be non-working as long as the faceplate and air gap are in working condition. I plan on just swapping the light almond for the white face plate. I have a color change kit but it doesn’t work on gen 1 dimmers. Thanks, Jeff

Just wanted to give a shoutout to the OP. Andrzej went above and beyond on the dimmers he sent me. He even made a trip to Home Depot to confirm that the dimmers he was sending were the right color. He is an asset to the C4 community. Thanks, Jeff

Did HSIM work in 3.0? I am still on 2.10.6 and this is one thing that is causing me hesitation to try the move to 3.0. Thanks, Jeff
