It is, sorry for being harsh but a $500 remote should be rock solid with excellent components, am not the one who picked up the shittiest WiFi chip (TI) on the planet!

    HYG: On a Windows PC/Laptop:

    1)Install Rockchip_DriverAssitant_v5.1.1
    2)Install RKDevTool_Release_v2.79
3)In RKDevTool open config file change language to 2, [Language] Selected=2, save file
4)Grap a Data Micro USB Cable, not power one, make sure of this to have successful flashing
5)Open RKDevTool, connect your T3 screen USB to computer while putting it in Flash Mode, for TT press “Power” with “Volume up” while plugging in the USB, for wall I think u press “Reset” while plugging in the USB to laptop or PC
6)It should show one device connected!
7)U go to Upgrade firmware tab, Use "Firmware" to load the image, then "Upgrade" to write the image to T3
8]It should show progress, wait till its 100% complete, and in the screen if all good it will say all is good, now the screen will be rebooted and u have ur T3 back!
9)If you keep getting "Match device type failed, stop running!" try pressing the switch button first in the tool then hit upgrade
10)Update/Downgrade to your latest OS3 release!
11)Google the programs, download and install, use this for T3 image: https://mega.nz/file/gaJl1IrY#pGEN1sIxxyL9v8hXQx9lbNlyZ4rVfHAXBBCcOE1rpMY
You will thank me later, I have a PayPal if you want to donate 🤓 as I had just lost a cheap source of bricked screens that I bought over the past year!

Incridebly fatser than OS2 for sure, Its even faster than HomeKit now, Apple scrwed Home App and C4 OS3 app is much faster! You won't regret it, some features like Color Wheel is a must to have if you have a lot of Color LED Lights, makes ur life easier, updated UI also top notch compared to OS2.

I’ve a long history of complaints and mounting frustrations from my 3x Neeo’s, rarely used them because of these issues, decided to take another step towards fixing things, reading and spending time on UniFi forums, I toke one of their Early access Firmware releases 6.5.33 -> 6.5.37, zero tweaks, Neeo’s are connected and remain connected for 2-3 weeks now! Never happened before!
Conclusions, you need a networking and RF PhD to have Neeo’s work, but when they do it’s a bless!

Just to wrap this up, I went ahead and used the IR Driver, and everything seems fine. I haven't used it a lot, but it seems fine.
    Appreciate the help here.

There is no way to include 4Sight, this has to be done by C4 and require massive changes, which I believe in the queue (If it’s even asked for) 2050!

Good thinking about the BT keyboard, I still have one MX for a couple of rooms! Was handy before Apple integrate ATV to everything!
We had issues with Intrinsic IP driver when Apple moved to tvOS 15 and broke the known API’s, I had since then fitted an IR bug to every ATV I have, I kept them just in case!
Jesse IR driver is superior IMO as it provides a replica of same features of the original Apple Remote no one else managed to create, Menu double click and u will have App switching so u can close apps, etc. but if this not an issue then Intrinsic is great Driver as well, I used both for a long time but switched to native C4 driver (works well, 0 issues) last Xmas when upgrading to EA5!

U can use IP with Intrinsic driver (50 UKP), or Jesse IR driver (free), both does not need Apple device to work, but u will suffer without an Apple device thought, It will be hell to type passwords all the time on the Apple TV!

    Hello All,
I had the chance to beta test a new driver for Apple Home Kit Integeration with C4, the driver is very powerful and have 2 mothods of connection via a Homebridge or HOOBS 4 server. The driver have the follwing features:
Easy setup with fully automated Homebridge/HOOBS 4 configuration and monitoring (Zero Touch) Single driver configuration that supports all project's devices in one place Project auto-sync when adding, removing, or renaming devices Supports a lot of devices in C4 and avail them fully in Apple Home Fast and reliable two-way feedback between C4 and Apple Home Local communication, i.e no cloud services Devices Supported:
Room Watch & Listen activities, including remote and volume control Light Switches, Dimmers, and Outlets including legacy C4 Dimmers/Switches with Color Wheel Advanced Lighting Scenes Programmable Virtual Switches and Buttons Relays Blinds Locks Garage Doors Doorbells Security Systems Thermostats Fan Speed Controllers Contact Sensors Motion Sensors Occupancy Sensors Smoke Sensors Carbon Monoxide Sensors Leakage/Water Sensors https://drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/utility/home-connect-for-apple-home/

I did argued that myself in another thread but rather there are protected or paid sources that still need distribution: cable, satellite, etc these can’t be replicated at every TV, until the industry totally changes to streaming only then and only then VD can RIP

I know it’s always a back and forth debate, like those that have already responded, but I love having video distribution in my home. A few friends of mine that just started with their systems also went the video distribution route. Nothing wrong with streaming boxes everywhere or Smart TVs, but I really like having everything centralized in one location. I have 11 TVs on a matrix with 7 TVs in my basement setup like a sports bar. Swapping sources between TVs and mirroring screens is great.

Amr reacted to South Africa C4 user in What Did You Automate Today?
I have been spending a lot of time recently improving the visual feedback in my system.  There are a lot of great drivers that allow one to automate things (and these have been mentioned in this thread and elsewhere).  Many of these also give feedback for what they automate (via the relevant proxy or the driver’s experience button(s)).
However, one also wants to give general feedback from time time (for variables included in one’s project and for automation where the underlying driver does not give visual feedback).
I currently rely on 3 drivers for this sort of feedback / visualisation, namely:
My go to driver for visual feedback, via Experience Buttons, is bNet Solutions bIconsdriver which has a large number of icon sets and the more recent version is architecturally phenomenal in that it’s use of system resources is minimised, The Janus technology BMS driver remains an incredible driver for graphing the history of (and storing) any and all historic data. The Custom Info driver by Barbini is great for displaying text feedback (with interactive control) via a webpage which can mirror the wallpaper of the room you are in. It is worth giving a special mention to 3 other generic feedback / control drivers:
The Chowmain Experience Button Suite was (I think) the first driver suite of this nature and I still have 100’s of instances of these drivers across my 2 projects. The Blackwire emoji driver suite was the first driver with (literally) 100s of icons available for experience buttons.  Apart from bIcons, I am not aware of any other driver (suite) with this sort of volume of icons for feedback. Domosapiens Mult Experience button was (to the best of my knowledge) the first driver (suite) to bring complex LED type feedback to the Navigators.

I was about to give up (having attempted 8 or 9 different cables) when I reread this thread (thanks to all contributors) and saw an alternative to holding the unmarked pinhole and pressing the reset pinhole to identify the device.
@Cyknight- may be worth adding the alternative to your write up in Dropbox.  It worked instantly for me.
For others reading this, the alternative was to hold in the unmarked pinhole button while plugging the USB cable in with the RkDev tool open. The device was identified within seconds…
Thanks to everyone who posted on this - I have converted a brick into a functioning T3 - very satisfying!

    @Ryanjackson
Here's the setup that worked for me on a table top at least:
    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/na5pdagpn0jj2ua/AADoeYaiUDgjM66-qSpd7pXta?dl=0
Includes image, dev tool and driver assistant I used plus instructions combined from @Amr, @lukas.polivka and what ended up working for me.
It's only 1 out of 1, but I'll be keeping this 'tool' in my back pocket as a final attempt in case I come across a client with the issue (we've had two over time that were under full warranty two that got a repair option, and only one fullyout of warranty - who hasn't pulled the trigger on replacement yet, so I'll offer to try it for them)

Hello, the DLNA driver need SMB1 service turned on your Synology so the share can be detected, away from that there is a guide on how to install twonky on DSM6 on your appropriate device, it’s a lot of hacking into the device, and it sometimes breaks the connectivity for no apparent reason and you have to start the service again via ssh, while works great have its caveats.
The best thing to do is to use Plex if your model can handle it, the DLNA driver detects Plex and works well with it!

From memory yes allowed search, I tested everything, Twonky was the best ever on an old RS820/DSM6.x very fast and quick search from C4, issue was no formal support and no community repo was just a pure hack, and I had tweaked a lot to make it work with my model.
Plex was my next move and was fine with DLNA driver.
I now use Bluesound to do that in addition to the extra streaming capabilities I added to C4, great DAC as well
