  1. have you tried a controller reboot. if that doesnt work, delete the driver add it again, and under its broadcast name, name it something unique
  2. Use Motorola qip6416 has all the functions for the fios one boxes, obviously you still need an ir emitter on the tiny window for Control4 to interact with it. Sometimes you have to edit the driver for how many counts it does for a few buttons, to check if you do, just go into on demand and see if you’re double jumping. You can also assign color buttons even though the fios one remote doesn’t have them.
  3. The regular bridge will also work with c4 as long as you use the lutron leap driver, I have several projects that clients already had casetta and a hub and I’ve integrated it
  4. you will wiant one spare wire at each location just in case something happens to a wire you will have a backup for all locations with cat6 so i would do 2 cats to each camera location 2 cats to each wap 4 cats 1 coax to each tv location 2 cats to each lan location 2 cats 1 coax to feed from ont/dmark to the main rack 2 cats 1 coax from main rack to any location you plan to put another rack or control location garage i would always run 4 cats from main rack, depending on how many garage doors you have you will be covered to hardwire some contacts to control your doors 1 lutron wire per window covering speaker wire to properly do speakers anything under 60' but we do 100' will be 16x4 anything over 100' will 14x4 and anything over 180' we will do 12x4 subs it depends if powered or passive so we will run 14x4 and a shielded rg6 home theater wiring is always 14x2 to each speaker run a 2" conduit from attic to rack area for future needed pulls we also run 4 extra cat, 2 extra speaker, 2 extra coax from attic to rack just in case wire is cheap so run extra now main tvs can use some extra wire, think about it what if you want to feed audio back to the amp and its a system tv 1 cat for tv lan 1 cat if you have local streaming box 1 coax for cable box 1 cat for audio feeding back to amp 1 ir to control streaming box and cable box common mistakes made by builders uses cheap wire, when securing wires they crush the wire with staples or romex staples, make sure they do not crush the wire, they will also run wire with romex so make sure its at least 14" away from romes on long runs, its ok to cross romex but not run along with it. make sure they dont make 90 degree bends or bend the wire, if the jacket of the wire fades or whitens when making a bend its not good, do not tighten zip ties so it crushes the wire, its not good. honestly i would hire a company to prewire for you, to your requirements as wiring is your foundation and if not properly done could/will cause issues
  5. it definitely sounds like your programmer made some mistakes that can be fixed, your system should absolutly not be running like that. reach out to Chopedogg88 and let him run through your system. the problem may be a little deeper than c4 integration it could be issues on how its setup within lutron but it can be fixed., again reach out to chopedogg88 as he can help you as well
  6. chope is right on with the adjusting the time duration for the shades, for some unknown reason the shade control defaults to the lowest timing when upgrading on some jobs
  7. what are the issues you are having with qs, i have done plenty of QS and QSX and have not had any issues, it could be your original programmer is not well versed integrating the systems together
  8. you could just mute the tv, then program the custom buttons to raise and lower the volume for tv, or vice a versa
  9. yes, under each of the touchscreen intercom in composer make sure the touchscreen has auto answer unchecked
  10. any client we sell HE we let them know if we get a call from you and find your system malfunctioning because of changes made by the client it becomes billable hours. like others have said, you can change your wifi just keep the same dhcp pool, dhcp reservations. Personally i like our clients having HE so they can make the system thiers.
  11. have you tried to reach out to c4 to get a recommended dealer in the area, give them a call and explain your situation
  12. well for one, the wap should not have been behind the tv, the amount of interference that the tv gives off would definitely screw up the wifi signal. keep the wap find a better dealer and u should be good to go, where are you located,
  13. these avrs are pretty cheap i would just create a driver, or find another denon driver that you can edit,
  14. if i had to guess we would probably use the leap driver
  15. hes asking what your video settings are in the apple tv, i would set your apple tv, to 4k sdr, and use content matching, i would also check settings on the tv and avr
  16. unless youve checked in composer that the ip address hasnt changed i would bet thats the culprit, but you can try to reboot your controller and see if that helps
  17. some avrs wont play your digital inputs to zone 2, so its not working read the manual on the avr to see if this is the case. if it is the case do you have a matrix with digital inputs, or you will need a dac and convert your optical to analog,
  18. i just did 2 sony tvs im using eweb api for control4, had same issue until enabling simple api, and power cycling the tv with power plug pull, still using web api and it seems to be fine
  19. in the agent for the specific announcement are those zones individually added and are the volumes set for each of the zones? you may have to raise the volume higher or lower for each separate zone, and yes depending upon the matrix amp you may need a delay or add some programming to have it announce more than one time
  20. which amp are you trying, because i tried with dms amps and could never get it to work. i have a c4 system with triad matrix, a triad amp that is for inside the house and garage, then a episode amp for outside audio, a few t3 touchscreens around the house. i wanted a touchscreen in the garage and by my patio so i broke out a few tkp-7600 and a 7100 with a mrx-8. i added a heos to my control4 system and then setup urc to control heos, the triad matrix and triad amp. the urc touchscreens can now control all audio zones on the triad matix using heos music and volume control of the triad matrix. one day maybe ill add t4 to the garage but for now this works fine and if i get my tkp-7600 all dirty i dont really care.
  21. yes, exactly as zap says use the analog out from the ea3 to your matrix amp, then buy a dac for the digital out of the ea3 to your matrix amp then a hdmi audio stripper and run that to your matrix, other than that if you can get audio out from one of your other ea3 you can use the audio outs from that too
  22. is it an older controller where it needs a license?
  23. honestly if all your doing is 4 tvs,4 directv, and 4 apple tv, i would do an ea1 with io controller, i dont like splitting ir tags more than making it a double. the only reason for the io is the added ir tags. if you have more going on in the project then i would do a ea3 with io controller. Once the multi-display is released to the public you will have a nice clean option to run the wall.
  24. we do a lot of takeover jobs and so far havent had to ask to transfer a license, so this is an eye opener for me. My issue is if a dealer and client part ways on bad terms then hopefully blackwire will step in after the request so the site doesnt have to buy a license again. having to purchase a license again to me would be absurd, but its the policy of the company so if you dont like a policy dont buy from them is the answer, no not really because what if thats the only driver available. The only time i would agree that blackwire doesnt transfer a license is if a client owes money to the dealer for services rendered. The only answer is its at blackwires discretion and for the new dealer to reach out to the old dealer and then blackwire for help if the old dealer denies it.
