  1. best way would be to use a Triad one, or throw another controller in that area where you need audio
  2. there will be an id with lutron for your groups, enter that into the id for the shades group and complete any other programming
  3. ive done several doorbirds and i had one at my house for about 2 years before the chime came out. i can tell you while the nightvision on the doorbirds sucks, the integration with control4 was always solid for me. in the 2 years i had mine, i had no issues, except the nightvision was bad, really bad. i received all my intercom calls, all my notifications. i cant say that for a chime. i have installed over a 100 doorbird for clients with urc total control and control4 and most are running strong still. i have installed about 50 chimes or so, and i get all different complaints from history not working, constant button press notifications, no video when they answer on thier phone, long delay to open the image, etc, etc. tech support from them has always been fine but we dont buy direct from doorbird because when you do have an RMA its expensive to ship back so we buy from a distributor.
  4. if the turntable has a line out, you could always use audio baluns, a cat wire back to the matrix and be able to play his turntable through the entire house if you wanted. we do this often with many audio devices and use Lineso stereo baluns from amazon, they are like 25 bucks
  5. i would try a controller reboot, if it comes back like he said, driver issue. steps would be some controller logs or remove some 3rd party drivers to see if it comes back. its one of those things to find trial and error
  6. we use a room control driver in every room it is a nice driver, then we put a room control driver in a say rack room, we hide that room and set all rooms to be controlled by room control driver. ez-pz one click will turn off all rooms. its a dealer added free driver
  7. its all about network topology, do you have another router besides the xfi? do you have the proper ports open pointing to the nvr in the xfi if just the xfi router. if you have another router do you have your xfi in bridge mode and do you have ports opened in the 2nd router pointing to the nvr. its all about your setup
  8. i would bet that your apple tv is set to sleep, turn that to never in the settings of your apple tv and this issue should go away.
  9. have your dealer look at the knowledge base articles here are some settings for the chime that may help though Settings for Sub Stream which is the intercom stream Frame Size -- 1024x768Max FPS -- 15Bit Rate Control -- ConstrainedQuality -- ExcellentMax Bit Rate -- 1 MbpsPolicy -- Frame Rate Priority
  10. go to history in your app, hold down on the image and it will let you send it
  11. put a Nyce sensor on the door to read the status of the door, program the lock against the door sensor, yes it may take a moment for it to poll but may work for what your looking for, dont lock if door is open
  12. Heres Hoping you ordered the kwikset locks with the C4 zigbee card
  13. We do take overs all the time, our project manager always goes out and reviews the site and has a discussion with client at no charge, then we send out one of our top techs to look over the system, make recommendations, update if possible and charge for our time. It may not be a huge profit, but it is a client gained and if we can get the system more user friendly and stable its a plus for everyone. We gained a client and hopefully an avenue to gain more clients, word of mouth is our main part of our business. Trust me when we come across these take overs there is always a reason, its either the system is just not done correctly, the install was poor, the programming was terrible, the design was garbage, or the client was a true pain in the ass. Yes there is always a reason. We are a Gold Dealer, We may never be a pinnacle dealer, we dont strive for a label, we strive to make all the clients we have happy, within reason we do what we can. We have 1 dedicated service guy, the rest are techs and if we have to we will pull a tech off an install to take the load off our service tech. Our main servicer is done remotely and then a truck is rolled out if it cant be fixed from our office. The true story of why a dealer and client part ways is no concern of ours, just getting the system functioning properly is. However, if its a totally unruly client, sometimes the headache isnt worth the takeover but we still try. We also need to make the system serviceable so yes we will require a rack to be rewired or parts to be included into the system for our service needs and yes it sucks to tell a client he has to pay again to have us make a rack serviceable because 90% of the problems we come across are from a poorly installed rack, crappy designed system. Like any other field, there are guys, and companies that care about thier work, and thier are guys and companies that care about the $$$ overall. And its just my opinion that C4 should have some sort of accountability to dealers, they should have a way that if they receive so many complaints they should drop those dealers. Its a very good product and should have a way to weed out poor dealerships.
  14. in the driver properties set home to power off and power on.
  15. if you have the budget and want premium sound quality i would go with Coastal Source speakers and amp. if budget is an issue you can always go with some 6" or 8" speakers from Episode, Niles, Kef. i do prefer on Wall speakers in these brands over landscape series.
  16. Sometimes we will use an optical balun from the tv, to the matrix, other times we use a dac at the tv, then analog baluns back to the matrix with no noticeable delay. works fine.
  17. try a UN65F6300AFXZA it works for most tvs made.
  18. try deleting all devices from your account in customer.control4.com then in your account create separate users for each device and have them all sign on with they're respective logins. Delete the app on your device and reinstall. make sure notifications are on in each device you want to be notified. reboot your controller and you should be good to go.
  19. same for me, as long as i dont reboot my controller, ecobee doesn't lose its connection, i have the same problem with Aladin Genie as well. This happens on my system as well as a few clients systems.
  20. give yale a call about the screen, i had a client that had thier lock for 5 years and they replaced the screen
  21. so a few things we do and really have no issues with ip control with the occasional having to pair a tv again. we have done lots of frame tvs, i have 1 in my house but its a 2020 model and ive never had an issue. we dont static, we use a dhcp reservation. we also rename the tv in the router. At one time a few years ago we had a few of the frames wreak havoc on networks until we renamed them. If you are having continuing problems i would reserve it out of your DHCP Range to ensure another devices isn't causing the issue. if you continually have issues serial is a better option.
  22. if it is a portable you are correct you only have one pinhole, insert paperclip in it and then press the volume up button until the unit reboots and shows the control4 logo with the triangle then let go. if it doesnt work then try it again.
