I am getting quite a few enquiries about how to integrate iOS shortcuts with our updated Generic TCP Command driver.
As such i have updated the documentation to walk programmers through how it works with Control4.  Note that this can be done fully in Composer HE edition for those who have HE.

It would have been more of a kick if you had followed that sentence with something that contributes to the thread.

There are various devices you can use to split audio off HDMI to PCM. You can also convert eARC to HDMI with an HDFury device. Those Triad 1's output analog I think so you could go from one of those to a matrix. If it were me I'd run wire and centralize the audio distribution.

On the internet nobody cares. On a forum people care about how you contribute and participate.
For example, your very first post on this forum was to take a jab at C4 complete with emoticon.

Good luck!  seriously i would just spend $150 to get a new cable run cat6 and you can google and find someone to do it.   Dont even need your dealer.

Since I hijacked this thread with some detailed questions, I thought it was only fair to come back and share my experience since most of our system finally went in this week.
This driver worked great with the Bond bridge! First time the programmer used it and they were super impressed. Everything works as needed although I do wish C4 had the default ability to have the reverse direction in the fan/lighting screen. I’m sure this could be added with an experience button but it’s usually a once/ year need so not a huge deal - we’ll probably just use the existing fan remotes for that.
I took screen shots of each fan’s control buttons we wanted integrated from the Bond app, gave the programmer the account and pin info from the bridge and he was able to get everything working in minutes.

We really wanted to stick with the remote modules installed on our fans since the they don’t have any manual way to reverse the fan direction and the Bond bridge coupled with this driver seem to be working great. Thanks Alan and thanks to everyone that offered assistance on this thread!

Had you posted reasonably knowledgeable responses, I'd have considered you to assume programming of my system.
I have re-posted my query in the General Discussion area.  You are welcome to respond.

Hikvision have a range of covert cameras, I'm pretty sure all of them are compatible with C4 drivers

Thanks for the input. Decided to go with UniFi as my APs are older and can't do unleashed. I'll let everyone know how it goes after it arrives and I get it setup. Likely will have questions along the way.

That would be nice. And I’d like a 12” model.  But C4 really has to figure out a way to price touchscreens at something close to reasonable.

And for touchscreens I would also like the ability to have user defined folders/sub folders and the ability to programmatically press a button

Can you attach a pic of both ends of the cable so we can see all the wires going into the plug?

I guess maybe the best question for the OP is ...do you have Z2IO boxes attached to your garage door today or do you know specifically how your garage doors are controlled by C4 physically?

I can maybe see this for variable content from sources like Netflix and Amazon and when you have a more complex room configuration e.g. a lot of speakers.
Generally, I can predict mode from the source, but with Netflix I have on occasion changed the mode to improve sound when the audio isn't one of the better ones like Atmos. I have also changed the mode on some music sources to give the track a little more. I guess all the reason these things are possible with the AVR's these days.
If you have this idea then I would imagine you are seeing some demand or a need that I probably don't see for the average user.

The 3-way and the dimmers are priced well also. The 3 way if connected to load can be paired with a conventional non smart 3 way switch. So if you have a 3 way setup you can replace one of them with the smart switch.

Have you gone to the Bond site and read about the product? Those two items can be in the same room together, but they speak different languages.

For reference this is a Smart By Bond controller which can be retrofit into standard ceiling fans to make it smart.

By not using on camera illumination. Using a dedicated IR illuminator that is mounted away from the camera completely eliminates the problem and gives a much better illumination.
