C4 sells a dumb replacement switch in 10-packs if you just want to make everything look the same but don’t need every switch to be controllable.

The link will only tell you it’s a wire issue.  You know that.   Can you crimp a new end?  If so buy that equipment and reterminate.  If that doesn’t work something along the cable is bad.  You’ll likely need someone to go fish around anyways.  And they are likely to have the expensive tools to locate what/where is the issue 

This but a cheap tester may indicate that replacing one or both terminations would be a good start.

If the cable between those points has been stable and undisturbed that would be my expectations. Likely the outdoor / more exposed termination has gone bad.

Yes, Absolutely. I went through the pros and cons for a monitor. One of the reason I mentioned above that I'd rather not use a display made for signage. The intended location is a kitchen in a home. The wife would prefer something with a more refined appearance and I agree. That eliminates most all displays, but especially signage displays. The other consideration is that the location in on an isle or narrow spot at the end of the island so whatever needs to hug the wall. Due to the structure if that wall I also cannot recess the display. Plumbing in the wall. Those Frame TV's have a pretty small projection and they don't leave a gap at the wall where you could potentially catch some clothing etc when walking by.

There really needs to be a "READ ME FIRST" post when you come to this site. A lot of people come here asking this type of question and get the usual snark (i was guilty last week). Would be easier to just point them to the README post.
I think a lot of people come to this site thinking its mostly made up of users instead of dealers. This isnt the place to ask for Composer Pro.

Ok. You are playing semantics. You are saying "professional" in this case is someone that has had C4 training, has some paper certificate and works for a dealer as an employee.  I'm guessing you tick at least one of those boxes.
Its a common thread here for the dealers to throw mud and make fun of people that are new, confused or maybe have wishful thoughts about doing their own programming. It's obviously insulting to those capable of doing it. You miss an opportunity to make a client when this happens. Instead of being terse and insulting you can probably say something like "Unfortunately, most of the work uses a dealer model. I'm happy to help you get your system set up and show you how you can customize and improve the parts of the system that customers can change. It doesn't have to cost a lot and I think you will find you don't need a lot of dealer involvement in a basic setup. I can help. I've helped a number of people that want C4, but are uncomfortable with the dealer model"

Unless the OP has a lot of time on his or her hands, the most expeditious way to get the system up and running and learn in the process is to pay a dealer for some basic setup. If the OP is as familiar with home automation as claimed, then OP should be away to the races. We have done this numerous times with tech savvy clients.

If the OP is talking about communicating over RF then shelly 2.5 cannot do it. 2.5 has no RF.

Did they send you the audio extractors? I've had some emails with them over the capabilities of the extractors.

No. You think that there is some value in information about something that hasn't been released to the public yet (major version software increment). You think it has great value. The shareholder concern is that Control4 under valued themselves for the purchase so that SnapAV was getting a better deal than they should. Rather Control4 didn't really put themselves on the market and let the market decide. I don't think there is any value, but if there was a lot of value as you suggest then perhaps the company sold for less and the Control4 board cheated investors and lined the pockets of SnapAV... or so the story goes.
If nobody trades on the information about 3.0 then there is no insider trading. No trades. No trading. Sharing something that is a "rumor" isn't against the law.
I'm curious, does the dealer agreement with Control4 state that the dealer has in any way a fiduciary responsibility to Control4?
Assuming there is some sort of beta happening for 3.0 I'd imagine that the pending update would not be considered "confidential". If they are telling non employees with no fiduciary responsibility what's in the update and when it may be released then it's more or less public.

Breaking the law? Not so much unless they signed a non disclosure which means civil not criminal penalties.

I'm curious if  you have seen anyone go down this path or if you have tried it yourself. My objective is to interface with a wide range of Zigbee devices without additional hubs.
