We have a Chromecast and an Echo Input connected to a Rolls mixer, feeding audio to the audio in port on the EA-3. We have it set up so that if we play something through either device, the EA-3 automatically starts playing it through the living room speakers via audio sensing. We can then say “Alexa, turn on music in the passage” or “Alexa, play music everywhere” to add other zones to this session. This is all working pretty smoothly.
This is very rigidly programmed however, and the voice commands to add or remove audio zones work specifically with music playing via the audio in port on the EA-3. Is it possible to program the system such that if we have Spotify playing on the passage speakers and we say “Alexa, turn on music in the living room”, it selects that audio source in the living room dynamically (i.e. if a single audio source is playing, whatever it may be, the other zones are added to it)?

What is everyone's go-to choice for extracting hdmi audio in order to distribute a 2-channel stream through an audio amp while retaining the original stream on the hdmi-out port?
The cable co. is mandating new boxes which no longer have rca or toslink outputs.  I currently have boxes shared through a WyreStorm matrix (MX-0808-PP-POH) with audio via both AV amps and distributed audio. I'd prefer not to have to dedicate sources in order to retain multichannel audio for the family room.
I ran across the Atlona 4-input extractor, but don't really want to pay $2K to replicate what I already have.

When the door bell is pressed and the video shows up on the T3 intercom screen, is there a button or something that can be enabled to potentially unlock the Yale deadbolt?

I have a weird question - tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything close to my issue - so here goes...
I have a C4 installation in a condo in a larger apartment complex.
There is a security desk downstairs that has the ability to call each individual condo via a phone line (or so it seems - don't know how its done as there is no dedicated phone number for each location).
The easy option for me is to get a 2-line phone system (1 for the landline and 1 for this intercom to the security desk).
But I'd rather have the security desk integrated into my C4 system as an intercom - I would like to make audio-only intercom calls from the C4 touchscreen / mobile app to the security desk and vice-versa.
Is that possible?  If so, do i need special hardware?

have to tired setting up scenes in the Lutron app and then triggering those scenes? ie.1 scene  bedroom on 50%, 2 scene bedroom off. those saved scenes in the Lutron app show up in the integrators report as button #

Does anybody know of a way for a HE user to update icons of existing mini-drivers, in this case, Chowmain IRUSB mini-drivers for Nvidia Shield?  I have added a few of Chowmain's 'custom mini-app' for apps I have on the Nvidia Shield, and would like to add logos / icons for the associate programs instead of the default "star" logo.  I am thinking this will be useful for others on Tuesday, once Disney+ is available as well.
I apologize if this is common knowledge, or i missed it in older posts.  I tried searching, and didn't find much.

Just looking for opinions here.  I have one lamp that is built into a stair case.  I'd like to add a dimmable colour changing bulb to this lamp that I can integrate with control4.  Specifically it would turn on and dim linked to a wall sconce close by, which is hardwired to a control4 dimmer.
What would be the best bulb for this lamp, and which driver?

The past 2 weeks we have been having an issue with composer pro where every time we start it up it tells that there is a online problem and that a firewall or something maybe stopping the program from functioning. We have removed all anti virus and stopped all windows firewalls yet it still happens. To the point where we can’t even load new drivers. We uninstalled and reinstalled and some thing. Any ideas please

I have a free WeMo outlet driver that works great but it has to connected as a Relay driver and not a light.
Is there a way to put the Relay (changed name to lamp) in the Lighting Experience button? 
Also, I have two lamps in the room and would like them both to be connected/paired so if I turned on the relay/light then both would turn on?

Don’t hold your breath.
Control4 has shown no interest in doing even basic additions like letting HE users print out programming.  I was told two, maybe three years ago by C4 that was a reasonable request that had been added to the development list but It’s still not in the code (nor is any of the new programming detail in OS3).   (Essentially the DS functions).
 
And the locking down Pro to a specific project wouldn’t bother me, but it seems a little disingenuous to say that dealers would be concerned that non-dealer Pro users would encroach on their territory when existing dealers already do the same thing by offering remote services outside their area.

I have created two rooms for separate control. i also created a driver and add in two rooms. but when i select a scene like presentation mode(one projector turn on & Screen down) for one room then another room(another projector & screen) is response. two projector goes on simultaneously. there is different binding composer. why this is happen. Though the driver is same. Not only projector goes on but also two screen goes on. why?

Well it’s that time of year where the doorbell and front door lock gets more work and C4 notifications than it does the rest of the year combined (yes I know I could turn notifications off).

Looking to add some Philips Hue bulbs and LED light strips.  I know that I have to use the Philips Hue Bridge to interface with Control4.
I believe there is a Control4 native driver for Philips Hue - correct?
My main question is, I use Control4 dimmers for all of my lights.  If I have a pendant light that is currently controlled by a Control4 dimmer and I put a Philips Hue bulb in there, I would guess that I control colors, presets, etc. through a Control4 Navigator (C4 App) or the native Philips Hue app.  But then how does the Control4 dimmer interface or work at all?
Can someone who has this working explain please.  Thanks!

I had installed some vera security sensors and I figure out they are presenting issues.
After a while they just keep triggered. 
The relay was inverted, debounce timer played with but no lucky.
Does anyone has this kind of setup working ?
I have 3 motion and 2 contact from evespring connected to a vera. 
All other zwave devices are working perfectly. The issues are only with the security sensor driver.

C4 to Apple HomeKit Question:
Is there a way, driver, workaround, etc. that would allow Control4 to control a device that exists in Apple HomeKit (aka Apple Home) but is NOT in the Control4 project?
I have a HomeKit enabled gate opener and I want to be able to also control it through Control4.  There is no driver for the gate that I am aware of for Control4.  Let's also assume that for purposes of this discussion I cannot interface RS232 or anything else like that either.

I’ve seen a number of bugs on OS3.1 and am keen to know if others are seeing the same, including:
1. The access Agent is not working (not doing anything) on my T3s on OS3.1
2. Certain Experience buttons (including some native C4 ones - e.g. Garage Door) are not working (updating their displayed icon) when favorited to a room.  They still work in the subsidiary menu (e.g. Comfort or Security).
3. Programatic Group intercom calls from a DS2 mini don’t have sound (I.e. video only).  I understand this bug has been duplicated by C4 and should be fixed in the next release.

Tonight out of the blue, my TiVo (matrixed and extended through my Denon X Series AVR) stopped working. I power cycled the TiVo, Denon and finally the EA-5 to no resolve. Anything to look at? TV powers on, just no TiVo. Remote is definitely changing Denon Inputs (I’ve watched real-time in the Denon App).

Is there a setting to allow the app to stay connected to the system longer? Seems as though my App is only staying connected briefly before it has to reload the system. Not the worst thing ever, just a little bothersome.
 
Also, I’ve been reading so many posts regarding the time it takes to load 3.1. I’ve been blaming it on my crappy network issues. Just wanting to see if it’s a known issue. A lot of you posted how fast 3.1 loaded, but others complained of it taking too long.

If you've been following along, I'm "taking over" from a previous C4 homeowner.  Dealer is coming in 2 weeks for initial setup and training.  (Going with the Home Edition + 4Sight so I'm partial to as much DIY as possible).  Planning out the network, which is a best practice?  I'm thinking:
- all IoT devices on their own vlan (FYI: I run ubiquiti gear)
- all IoT devices on assigned DHCP leases (i.e.: how well does C45 play with devices connecting via DHCP)
Thoughts/recommendations?
PS: Somewhat new to the remote control of this -- fair to say that if a device supports IP management and has a C4 driver, I won't need to setup IR dongles? I will have: TV, TiVo, AppleTV, BlueRay Player, and Receiver, each IP-enabled.

This is exactly my thought.
MY worry is that people get hyped on a touchscreen remote, it's not going to live up to expectation, and it will cause ill will in short order.
 
But as I've said before on this forum, I don't mind being proven wrong. Maybe this thing will be great.

Again ipad with pin code is easiest way to restrict access. That is unless you want just one room available but anyone to have access to it. Either way pin code might be easiest. 

So I know that this has been discussed many times in the past, from people trying to lock rooms in commercial settings, rental units, and outdoors, but they all seem to be from pre-3.x, so here's to hoping something has changed.
I have a T3 that I'd like to locate on the patio, or in the garage directly off of the patio.  I don't want to expose door locks or the security system to this particular screen, because that would give people outside the perimeter of my home access to do things like unlock doors.  I'd basically like to limit it to controlling the audio in that room, or the lights in that room.
The problem is that for the other T3s (like in the kitchen / living room), I don't want to limit what they can access or force people to unlock them to control aspects of those rooms (because that would ultimately mean I have to hand out the code that would also unlock the outside screen), so I really only want the access agent on one touchscreen in one room.
Is it possible to selectively use the access agent - or is there something that works better?

@ERDrPCI agree with you that running the programming after an event occurs (e.g., weather alert event) would be the most efficient way to check the zones.
I have an idea about getting the open zone names as you need, but need to find time to mess with it.  Give me a week or so and I'll let you know what I come up with...
