msgreenf reacted to Andrew luecke in Connecting a Samsung One Connect to a Control4 Receptacle Outlet Switch
I wouldn't.
For the same reasons as I wouldn't do it with any smart device. If you turn it off during a firmware upgrade or whilst it's committing data, you might corrupt something and have half written data.

You can't compare pro equipment to unfi. The back plane and processing is totally different levels.

msgreenf reacted to Cyknight in C4 lags after Unifi update
That doesn't ELIMINATE the possibility. IF there's another device on static that you reserved an IP on, there's still a confict.
I'd change the reserved address of the TScreens and main controller, reboot, scan network. Also you're using 192.168.0.xxx - did you ensure your ISP modem/router isn't using the same range?

msgreenf reacted to Andrew luecke in OS2 upgrade to OS3
One other thing to keep in mind, is also ensure you're using the latest driver versions too. Some driver may require upgrades to work in 3.3.0 (or may not even have compatible drivers anymore in rare cases).
OS3.3 and 3.4.2 in particular added a few major security changes

msgreenf reacted to Topfox in Google Nest Driver - 4th Thermostat Missing
Fixed. Removed the Thermostat associated with the Nest service, and then re-added it and did the whole control4 integration again. Now all 4 thermostats show.

msgreenf reacted to chopedogg88 in Need help/advice on accessing/updating my C4 system (lost dealer)
I can help you with remote programming and getting you a Composer HE license. Basically with HE you don't have access to the connections section or the ability to add new drivers. Other than that it's the same application for the most part.
PM me if interested.
Thanks

msgreenf reacted to C4 User in Modern Forms Ceiling Fan
Sorry for delayed response. I had this network dropping issue on my fans for years. A year or two ago a firmware update from Modern Form on the fan controller fixed this issue. Not one issue since then.

msgreenf got a reaction from IBZICON in [Status Update]Planned OvrC Database Maintenance - May 28th
THIS IS A SCHEDULED EVENT May 28, 08:00 - 14:00 EDT
May 24, 14:33 EDT
Scheduled - The OvrC team will be performing planned maintenance to the cloud database between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00 pm ET on May 28th, 2024.
During this time, we don’t expect there to be any significant interruptions to service but there could be intermittent performance degradation during the maintenance window. Potential impacted features are:
* Log in/Log out including OvrC web and mobile apps, OvrC Connect, Luma/Luma View
* OvrC Public API
* Device communication, config, notifications, updates, etc
* Slow page loading times
This may impact Partner and Customer experience with OvrC Platform's cloud services and mobile applications. This will not impact the local network or customers’ systems as there are no changes to the OvrC agent or devices monitoring the network.
This database upgrade is a continuation of our investment to make OvrC more reliable, resilient and performant for our users.
Thank you,
OvrC Team

msgreenf reacted to chopedogg88 in T4 Touchscreen question...
what Mitch said. also worth noting, is that the only difference is the mid/power box/magnet plate part that comes with it...and worst case you can order just an AC box if you need to adjust the plan.
