Gary Leeds UK reacted to wnpublic in DS2 Door station VERY buggy
Ha, yes. Everything is great, DS2 and C4 are awesome. Anyone who says otherwise is dumb for not realizing it.

Gary Leeds UK got a reaction from AtlantaSteven in Axis Gear
Yes done it a couple of times
When the Batteries start to go you will see them flash Red and get a bit and miss on Programming.
When we changed the batteries they were still connected to C4

Gary Leeds UK reacted to ILoveControl in DS2 Door station VERY buggy
Best hardware they ever released as 2n is the Royals Royce , worst C4 implementation of any device its ever graced our installations with.
If you login to the web interface and look at what it's capable of you will see they using 2% of it through the driver and the 2% is implemented shocking.
I also doubt they going to evolve or maintain the driver as they now have the new devices and opened it up to other door bells.
Such a pity

Gary Leeds UK reacted to BraydonH in Hue driver, which is best?
I always just use the official Control4 hue driver from the online database. It has feedback.
Still no color wheel though. That's not a driver issue more of a C4 issue.

Gary Leeds UK got a reaction from South Africa C4 user in Ripoff Report
Rob, the issue is if you get a bad dealer - You are buggered - however reach out to dealer on this forum and they will fix everything
Control4 Pricing at Time is bit on the High Side - Neeo Remote is a classic - £240 to £700 after they bought the company (its the same remote)
However they is a lot good to taken from C4 which us end user are more than happy with once you get a good Dealer.
We had to get a remote Dealer to sort our Issue out in Early Days and still use one now.

Gary Leeds UK reacted to Crustyloafer in Ripoff Report
If that's really how you feel and are not just trolling these forums for the sake of it, I think you'll find you are in the minority there.
Control4 is a very robust and reliable system, but as with most similar products, it's only as good as the programmer/installer. There's many ways it can be configured incorrectly or at least not as well as it could be and that can result in a poor end user experience. Combined with perhaps dealing with an installer either unwilling or unable to come and fix any issues you are having this will often make clients feel they have been ripped off.
You say "Great salesman, worthless system" which sounds as though they could talk the talk but not walk the walk when it came to actually implementing what you wanted it to do, that in itself is a fault of the salesman and/or programmer and not the Control4 system itself.
As already suggested above, perhaps explaining what you have in your system and what issues you are having in more detail, I'm sure there are several of us on here who could help steer you in the right direction rather than just bad-mouthing the brand without any true basis on which to do so.

Gary Leeds UK reacted to South Africa C4 user in How to rename a device
And still a driver that every user of HE should purchase as renaming of devices is definitely a necessity for us tinkerers. The driver is available on the Blackwire website.

Yeah...this is a huge issue overall with HE and C4 needs to get it addressed ASAP.

Gary Leeds UK reacted to prabeau in OS3 app on kindle fire
Just an update, the same Kindle is operating just fine. Has been plugged in since install. I keep screen on 24/7. As stated earlier I don't use intercom or any of the $1500 screen features, just as an access point to my C4 system.

Gary Leeds UK reacted to chopedogg88 in OS 3 alarm question
No, its a GE Concord. Its most likely a SuperBus 2000...so I would try that driver. Hopefully not using an NX-587.

Gary Leeds UK reacted to DLite in Sonos and Wake ups
Same here. The touch screen wake-up alarm triggers a macro that plays a Sonos favorite -- we use a Pandora station -- and gradually increases the volume every 30 seconds. After 5 minutes have passed, the black-out shades go up and the lights come on. It works great, and it saves me from having to harass the kids every morning!
