The Netflix through Apple all go to Roku channels.
Is that what you are looking for?
Same on a TV. Same on the SR watch menu. -
SMHarman got a reaction from Ron_E in Considering Control4
That functionality is all replicated in Control4 in a more user friendly interface. -

In my specific case, I have high end scalers at the TV/for the projector (also does local gaming systems), and I use a secondary HDMI out to feed back to the room's receiver. But generally - optical from TV to a converter to digi coax, then back down, or to stereo down if it's not on surround.

Composer home edition does a lot.
A remote dealer can often do the other stuff quickly.
Then your dealer is there for the big stuff.
It's a lot less constraining than you think.

Free and awesome drivers.
One for the device. One for adding channels to the watch screen / menus -

It's all click and drag so AFAIK it should be very easy.

Buy yourself some esnipe.
Look at sold prices on search.
Figure out your price. Set bids in esnipe and go about your day. -
SMHarman reacted to JSTRONG in Control4 & Sonos
This is mostly used by guests or my kids that mainly use Spotify. For me, I just launch deezer , pandora or Napster since I Have all 3.

This.
If looking to save money, the legacy 16x16 matrix is still a active product on OS3 and will sort out source distribution cheaply.
Similarly the 8 and 4 amps but any amp will do.
Doing it right with modern kit would be the triad matrix and amps.

SMHarman got a reaction from thegreatheed in Mini Apps for Apple TV - Looks possible now!
I guess my other round of snarkasm here would be, ooh look Apple has created a walled garden functionality like one that publicly accessible one Roku has.
Clap clap pat on the back for this innovation that just works.

The Gillette school of business Vs the making money selling hardware school of business.
Fire TV gets the user to buy movies. The loss leader hardware is paid for in content purchase.
C4 needs to make money selling hardware, that is what it does. Apple makes money selling hardware. It also makes money selling content but does not loss lead on the hardware. -

Why on earth you'd want to have the cheapest electronics (FireCube) run your home is beyond me?
Every and I mean every Amazon electronic device that I've purchased has crapped out on me well before the warranty periods. It was commonplace for me to purchase new Fire tablets every 6 months for my kids because they would literally just stop working.
Never again and moved on from this crap years ago.

Taking a guess here, but I think you could see them allowing major streaming services inside the controller.
It will take a good while. The SONOS ZP / Play solution was defacto for a good while. Roku is on Gen 8 of their streaming hardware. C4 is not going to be anywhere near leading edge on this.
The streaming apps that could remain allow use through the C4 GUI, that's the SONOS and Spotify falling out with C4.
Also who writes the code for the audio streaming services. I would anticipate that you don't want a buggy video streaming app / ui-ux taking down your controller. You would need a good sandbox there and Netflix is very particular about their ui/ux and the auto play and auto preview functionality.

I use this for Subwoofer amps where I’m not super worried about it taking an extra second or two to turn on. The 12V trigger is slightly more work, but is better.
