Pretty graphs… but way above my pay grade!

This is factually incorrect.
The Harmony remote's hardware and software would not be terribly useful for Control4.
Harmony's remote hardware capabilities are terribly dated, and their software would not be even as easy to turn into a Control4 remote as the Neeo was.
That would be a downgrade over the Halo remotes.

Sorry but my suggestion is remove the SAM and get the new infinity driver. It’s fantastic. I say this even if you need to update your thermostats.

C4 User reacted to Topfox in Solar Panels, Battery and Egauge and cost of electricity
I have a 31.45kw system here in VA. 70 panels on a ground mount about 500 ft from my house. I was paying 500-600 a month for electric by the time I did it that was only going up every year. I paid 80k for my system, got a 22k fed tax credit (it’s a credit not a deduction) that prevented me from having to pay 30k to the feds last year. I also get an 80k deduction on my real estate taxes for 5 yrs.
In 11 months I generated 42mw which paid me about 2.2k from SRECs that covers my yearly propane bill (main floor heat, cook top, tankless water heater, outdoor grill and 22kw generator). I haven’t had an electric bill at all since Jan 2022. Think we are expecting full return after all the tax breaks, SRECs, no bills around 9.5 years. Note it also increases the value of your home should you decide to sell prior to getting the return.
All and all, I’ve been very happy with the investment and luckily I paid for it with stocks that are now currently in the toilet so I actually timed it well.

But how much have you invested in solar and batteries?

This long awaited driver is a must have for anyone with an infinity or Bryant evolution system. I began using this driver in beta after waiting years hoping someone would write the driver. Nice job and thank you Epic!

I also worked with the developers during the beta stages of this driver. My HVAC guy talked me into dual infinity systems five years ago and I was freaked out that I had zero integration. Perhaps the most important part of the c4 system is HVAC control. This developer is so great to work with and they really care about all of it. Huge thanks to Epic for making this happen!!

A new version (730) of the driver has been released which includes our official support for Bryant Evolution systems. More details can be seen below:
Bryant Evolution compatibility More robust system-zone relationship extraction from OpenAPI for initial setup Better infinite/permanent hold support Clearer documentation for initial setup -

C4 User got a reaction from South Africa C4 user in ATV tvOS 16 update killed connection
All I can add is that like @South Africa C4 user I have used this driver for years and it works great. The few times it stops working, I simply reboot my ATV - but I was not aware of the Refresh command and will try this next time to see if it works. If your ATV firmware is up to date and your driver is up to date and you have rebooted both your C4 controller and your ATV, and it still does not work, then I would call your dealer.

No it doesn’t. Programming is based on Device ID so as long as you don’t delete the device, all programming stays.

C4 User got a reaction from South Africa C4 user in Water Sensor - 2022/2023
I have both, hardwired sensors thru my security panel and Moen Flo. The benefit of integrating both into C4 is you can shut down the water if a leak is detected by one of the hardwired sensors ahead of the Moen Flo.

There is a refresh command (may be called something else) on the bridge that will probably fix this. I have programmed this as a custom button on my system (for the occasional loss of connection that I have had after an update) and also added it to my system start up code so that if a family member reboots Control4 in frustration, this will catch it and sort the problem.
I am only aware of losing connectivity twice in years (I have been using the driver since the day it was released) and this has fixed it both times.

C4 User reacted to RyanE in Password protected screen or buttons?
As an example of what it's good for, I have the Access Agent setup with a user (called 'GuestTouchscreens') for the AirBnB rooms in my basement.
I have the Room Selector LOCKED (requires code), Room/All Filter HIDDEN (does not ever show for that user), Sessions and Media Sharing LOCKED, Settings Locked, Edit Lighting Scenes HIDDEN, and Intercom LOCKED.
All other items are set to UNLOCKED.
This allows guests to do pretty much everything but mess with lights, scenes, and anything in other rooms. They can start their own music, control it in their rooms, but can't see 'All Lights / All Sensors', and can't change rooms other than those in their favorites.
That user is assigned to all the basement touchscreens, as well as the basement Neeos. All the other touchscreens and Neeos in the house are assigned to the 'default' user.

Installed and set up in minutes, works perfect as far as I can see, great work!
The only hiccup I ran into was getting it to show C instead of F
Making that adjustment in composer won’t stick, I had my country wrong on my Carrier account so once that was fixed the reading in C4 started to show C

For those of us that have been asking for this driver for many years I am happy to pay the $275. I know for some that is too much but it takes financial incentive to write drivers like this.
