    Hello!
I've just released v20 of this driver, it adds support for OS 3.4.2 and also adds a property to increase/decrease the volume of Google Speech announcements
There's also a sale on the driver price for the next couple of weeks

Sort of a fun thing I'm doing with Home Assistant, but I'd think it should be doable with C4 if someone writes an integration.  When Unifi detects an object (vehicle, person, animal), HA sends a camera snapshot to Google Generative AI with a prompt to interpret what's occurring in the photo.  A notification is then sent to the phone with the AI text and the snapshot. It can be very accurate if the image quality is good and the prompt is good:

We chosen not to have the app be available until we we are able to test compatibility and the experience. You can expect the app to become available once the review and testing process has been completed.  This is the same approach that was taken for supporting iPadOS apps on MacOS with Apple Silicon chips (M1, etc).

yeah it should be pretty near instant, sometimes I send a Refresh Navigators but I'm not sure if that really does anything, and it sounds like you've already done that if you're seeing it in the app.

Yes, obstruction sensor (and motion sensor) integration is a great feature. I especially like how they enable automation of the main ceiling lights.

I have heard some feedback from a few users.  It may be due to rebooting of controllers but hard to say as i haven't experienced it myself.  I've made some improvements to the way i'm handling controller reboots and the way we are sending feedback so the next version should resolve this problem.

This actually isn't that hard to implement.  In fact i've just done it.
I'll run it in beta for a few days and if it works well will release.  Delays any movement by x seconds.  Flashes the built in garage door light and automates firing of an announcement before any movement (pulls in the annoucements and allows you to select the announcement).  Also has an event if someone wants to do something custom like hook up a buzzer or something via a relay.

Mine still works, glad I got in when I did. Sorry you spent all that time getting a contract with myq for them to do this. Very not cool.

Apologies for reviving an old thread. Just thought I'd mention this in a place where people interested in this topic would see it. In the latest app update we've added the option to turn off the wallpaper preview for rooms. Should be helpful for properties that don't have many room unique wallpapers. You'll find it as the 2nd row in Preferences.

Well, its not too hard to get this driver to load.  Just change a few lines in the XML and you are good.  @IntrinsicGroup can I get the brother in-law price...DM me

We have undertaken testing this morning and it appears Control4 have taken the regrettable step of blocking new connections of the driver at some point during the night (note we are UK based). Existing integrations are still working without issues. We assume Control4 will clarify the situation at some point. This is now with our legal counsel and we have no further information we can share at this time.

There are no issues with the driver or our relationship with Chamberlain. If Control4 forcibly block the driver we will issue refunds to those that have purchased it as a good will gesture and seek legal means to recover our losses.
This is completely beyond our control, and beyond the control of Control4 dealers alike. This concerns us, and should concern all users, dealers and third party developers. As mentioned above, there are significant legal implications should Snap block a driver (the way the driver works would mean they'd have to push software on every users controller without their consent = not legal and support call headache for dealers). Which other brand/manufactuer will they choose to forcibly block next? It is a very slippery slope, will competing audio brands be next? Other brands that have publicly changed their API or have hardware that is flakey? Perhaps they are only singling out Chamberlain for now, but given Control4 in April 2021 stated "Good luck working with Chamberlain... I hope it works out for you" it seems unlikely Chamberlain will be the last victim.

That's because you didn't install your system 1 month ago, and you've been both using your system for a long time (ie, the bugs and customization have already been ironed out and implemented at this point). This comment and thread was geared toward a new install and a new C4 user. I have done massive amounts of tinkering to get my system to where it is today, much and most of which will not be considered or planned up front until you start using it and and finding the gaps, pitfalls, or "I wish I could do this." scenarios. My current configuration and programming is far beyond where it started when my dealer initially installed, but as with you, I haven't made 1 change to my house either in the last month.

Control4 only really works for 2 types of customers. I have posted this before but will again:
1 - the people with more money than time: they hired an integrator because they wanted to have some cool technology in their home and be able to control it all from 1 place. if control4 is being used in their home it probably wasnt their choice, it was the integrators. the technology in the background is irrelevant. its the integrator that matters. if the integrator thinks there is another product than could do what they want better or easier then they would have it. the customer doesnt care if the solution is open or closed (C4). they just want it to work.
2 - people with some money and some time -  this is the group who if there was a DIY (open) solution out there that could do all they want they would probably use it instead of C4. The fact is though if you want to have a hard button remote that can control all of your audio and video together easily there is just not anything on the DIY side that comes close (and on the custom side there isnt anything with the user base and price point of C4). And even if there was a product, the price of a CORE LITE and SR-260 is not that much different than what Logitech's last solution was going for. Yes there is the cost of an integrator but there are varying levels of what involvement you need from them if you have the time and knowledge. C4 has a great product at a great price for these types of users.
If you don't fit into 1 of these 2 categories you will likely not enjoy your experience with C4. If you do fit then there is a good chance you will really like it.

Thanks for the thoughts. I only have 2 connections (the 2 analogue ones) from each EA5.  I do think that you are right and one of the EA5s is trying to keep open a phantom stream.  I have narrowed the problem down to one of the EA5s and I am fortunate to have another EA5 that is acting as a glorified IO extender elsewhere in the house (long story but I swapped an EA5 in my other house for a Core 5 and that freed this one up so it ended up in this system but being under-utilised) so I have asked my dealer to come past and swap the EA5 that I think is causing the problem with the one elsewhere that has no media responsibilities.  I am hoping that this will fix things and it will be an easy fix.  The downside is that I then won’t have a “spare” EA5 in the system… Fortunately, neither of these units do Zigbee so I think it as simple as a physical swap and re-identifying the 2 units.

I have just received my little 5.5" Axion touchscreen, which on first inspection looks to be well constructed.
First job was to hook it up to a Poe network cable for Power and Network.
Then added the C4 OS3 APP and all looks good so far, the screen Autorotates depends on physical orientation Landscape/Portrait etc. so thats good and the Intercom seems to work fine.
    So so far all good.

The highest a screen should be is this: measure 1/3 up the screen from the bottom - that imaginary horizontal line should be at or below seated eye level. This results in the bottom of the screen being pretty close to the floor.
If you’re ever going to watch TV shows, and probably even if you are not, you should go with a screen aspect ratio to match the projector aspect ratio. So unless you’re using an amorphic lens on the projector, you should use a 16:9 screen. Otherwise, you’re losing 1/3 the pixels and 1/3 the brightness and will have light spillover above/below the screen.

For the price, you cannot beat a Silver Ticket screen from Amazon. Their woven acoustically transparent screen is a great performer, as proven in testing. If you want integrated boarder lighting or light rejection do SI; for absolutely reference color reproduction do Stewart StudioTek 130.
