my guess is that is why a prototype wasnt shown at CEDIA.  it was not 100% ready and they did not want another intercom fiasco.

Thanks to all who responded - I've got an upgrade scheduled for tomorrow morning.
For others who are facing the same thing: I had several choices of remote programmers - all seemed great and all were pretty close in the hourly rate. Don't hesitate to do the same thing I did if you're finding that your local dealer is too slow to respond or too expensive.

We are using the c4 one which was updated and works like the IP one. 

Did your dealer install and configure the network? Did he supply and recommend the equipment?
It seems like you always hire someone locally, follow their recommendations, then immediately come here and second guess everything they do. 
I’m all for educating yourself so you don’t get taken advantage of and you get what you want, however in the next breath you admit you don’t understand it. 
Either fully go the DIY route and spend some time researching basic networking or hire someone competent. Bombarding a dealer who may be good, or may just be the best priced, with half baked ideas from an Internet forum isn’t a good strategy. 

Just wanted to update you guys. I got my hands on an iPhone to test things out and it worked with no issues. It turns out there is likely 2 bugs in the Android version. They are working on it now! Jakblak has been great.

So there you have it.  Apparently I just wrote my first driver, well hacked it together from breadcrumbs someone left me.
This may help someone else so have at it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if these were shopped around and pitched to C4 first and they passed.  

The Neeo Remote was sold for around £200 - So lets see how much C4 wish to sell them for when they arrive.
Concerning the Touchscreens - We need to see what they can do and how big a upgrade they are from the present Model for the T3 which says Hardware version " HWRev 2"
We have 4 Touchscreens which we find useful. 
 

Yikes. I'd hold off on the next couple bottles of whiskey and get 4sight. It'll last longer and no hangovers...

Why wouldn’t you put your alarm on Control4? The alarm is a different subsystem and can act on its own. I have a Honeywell Vista 20p integrated. If Control4 was to go down, the alarm would still function as is. 

Was a stupid error... volume had muted on one of my controllers 🙈 when the update happened.
Dealer is feeling silly as he remoted in and missed this... probably because I am having so many other issues this week, we both over-complicated this one

Is your Denon online and switching inputs correctly with the C4 system?
What input on the Denon is the HC800 and which one is the popcorn hour?
Do you know if the project also has those connections configured the same way?

Buying gear without a system design in place first would be backwards. Work with a local dealer to design your system first. Or work with a remote dealer from this forum - this can work well and inexpensively if you have decent technical knowledge or an appetite to learn and be involved.
For example, if you went out and bought those wireless locks without that design in place, you'd be returning them pretty quick because only wireless locks purchased from Control4 are Zigbee Pro enabled.
