  1. need to be in the list view. If you are in grid view its still snap shot only.
  2. may need to check the connections. Garage and locks use the same relay interface so some virtual wires may have been crossed.
  3. you would need to check out the device logs for the device effected. sorry can't be more helpful than that and even then i would likely not be able to decipher alot of the debug is like reading another language
  4. I would also recommend checking out the dealer portal as it will have much more useful information for you if you are a dealer. if you are an end use check us out on patreon.com/waltstv it is geared towards end users for composer home so won't help on this pro side of things.
  5. the first driver is channel 1. I think it typically just ends up controlling all of the shades connected to the urtsii but i could be wrong.
  6. i would probably just recommend upgrading the tv. depending on what it is even a cheap tv may be a picture quality improvement.
  7. Alot of the time when you get no video it has to do with video resolution bit rate and frame rate. Try lowering all of these a bit at a time and see if it becomes more reliable. Otherwise you need to have someone look at the logs to find out why it is failing.
  8. I use the OSD for family photos, media thats currently playing, and for specific cameras rather than the entire grid view.
  9. the core5 is a pretty good bump in performance over the EA line across the board from what we have seen. As you add more functions to a controller the lower the overall system performance will be. My personal system my ea5 is just there for running the project. The core3 is OSD audio, zigbee, and IO control now and I saw a slight bump in performance removing the more taxing services like OSD off of my ea5. If you want the most flexibility with audio you will want an appropriate size matrix. assuming you dont have any other audio needs you could do a 16x16 to facilitate the c4 amps you have now. but if you have more avrs or other audio zones on top of that you may need a larger one. you could also send digital or analog audio to the avrs and the rest to the matrix as the core 5 as 5 audio outputs easily connected to those types of devices. I would suggest straying from hdmi audio output from any controller as audio sync across multiple zones becomes a bit more difficult.
  10. for zigbee there will be an impact in performance based on the number of loads the amount of traffic and if the controller is doing anything else. Stick an ea1 behind a tv doing OSD and running a zigbee server with something like a motion sensor controlling multiple lights in an area, will be slower than a core 3 doing the same thing. Will you be able to perceive a difference in the real world unlikely, but it is very possible with a large enough server. Had a customer with an EA3 that we added more zigbee devices so it was at 70 and for a period of time had 95 devices and the system became noticeably slower. Added the ea1 and split the nodes and it was big time improvement.
  11. I am sure there is a model of the pulse eight that does down mixing. With the matrix you essential would one streaming device per family member. Then you can access your personal box from anywhere in the house. with out it and having the boxes locally at the tv, you could pull the audio from the tv back to your central audio matrix. the triad matrix 16x16 would allow for 8 digital tv connections. If you need surround sound you will still need a more traditional connect to an AVR for a more reliable experience. Having the matrix allows you to transfer rooms much more easily as well. Tired of watching the movie in one room pause and pick up exactly where you left off in another room with essentially 4 or less button presses. a matrix will not be a cheaper solution for many that are using streaming services but it does have its advantages. If you are streaming you can also look into ip based distribution and have a lot more reliability and flexibility and have options like PIP and grid view
  12. need to make sure the bell modem is actually a modem and not a gate way with its own nat and dhcp server. if it is you will need to put it in to bridge mode.
  13. that should do just fine. get a phoenix to barrel connect to make it a little easier to wire or direct splice will work too.
  14. great option if that is all you need. They make some quality products.
  15. you need to use timers. delays will cause a lot of issues. delays longer than 5 seconds i universally recommend not using them as they are not a great way to program. there are certainly cases where delays are fine.
  16. theoretically you can program a keypad button to do anything in the project you would like. They can serve as info to give you feedback on the state of your home, they could be used to trigger lighting, media, or home scenes. You could program them to motorization devices, speeds, or even to count for what ever you may need. You can use composer home or When/Then to program them as well. We recently just migrated to patreon exclusively to host our training course and you can preview some of our latest videos there. We have over 50 videos and adding more each month. patreon.com/waltstv
  17. I would suggest contact dealers using the dealer locator on control4.com This behavior is not appropriate and i am sure you can find a local dealer. If you original dealer owes you a warranty or any kind of service you can try contact control4 customer advocacy and they might be able to assist you with some more creative solutions. As others have said controller may need to reformatted and it was likely corrupted when the power was cut. Hope you can get back up and running.
  18. I would also check if the blind processor supports scenes. create a scene and activate this with one command.
  19. I am biased here. Composer HE will allow you to do everything that composer pro can with the exception of the connection tab and a full system design tab. HE is even the same program but with the tabs edited or removed. as far as professionally installed platforms go this is the most far reaching software for the consumer i am aware of. Once your system is connected and configured you can just about do anything. This community is a bit quicker to upgrade but for most clients once the system is established really nothing changes until something fails. Otherwise you can automate and customize to your hearts content.
  20. get the c4 app and a garagadget one of the most cost effective solutions i have seen to control my q doors or really any door.
  21. you can certainly just power down what ever you want. it should recover on its own when power is restored. The thermostats have batteries that will die if you turn the power off to the air handler. there is no guarantee that it wont cause some issues.
  22. you can also set this with lighting scenes or project defaults. There is an LED wizard driver as well that can let you make project wide changes. Essentially any event can be a trigger to change the led status and you can use just about any variable to augment its conditionals. We will be discussing it in our patreon video soon to come for our composer training course.
  23. migration wizard sucks. It all needs to be done manually and there is ways to transfer the zigbee with out the migration wizard. This is a conversation for tech or your local field tech manager.
  24. better yet delete the mobile app and reinstall it.
  25. need to have a 3.3+ RGB light driver. I know there are some DMX ones out there. The interface is great and lots of improvements hopefully will come to make it even better.
