Isn’t there a driver that mirrors devices between houses? Would that do it? I can’t remember the details of the driver but I feel like I saw that somewhere…..

I've played with this to relay a couple status between home and work system.

Ideally would be a cloud service to store values to be read and updated from both/multiple systems.

Certainly one of the progressions in recent years which has come leaps and bounds is small form factor PC's. They pack quite a lot of grunt which (with a very rich feature set) should allow for both the ease and scale to set up VPNs and in more ways than have been available ever before (OpenVPN/Tailscale/WireGuard). If you are keen to keep your networks how they are without a complete revamp, you can set up a small VPN endpoint on each network and use them to route between the two locations.
All that would be required is to create a single static route on each firewall/router that points to the other network. Any local traffic will hit your internal gateway but then be told to go via the local VPN endpoint and tunnel the traffic to the other side. Each VPN endpoint could have a single LAN port in this case. Say $300 for two NUCs is quite reasonable.

South Africa C4 user got a reaction from drmark12pa in Timers and Button Pushes
I do this with a 2 second timer.
Every button push adds 1 to a user variable (let’s call it ButtonPushed)
On ButtonPushed changes, I have the following:
If ButtomPushed = 1 start timer
    On timer expires, I have:
look at value of ButtonPushed and decide what to do (I use 1, 2, 3 and 4 or more as my conditionals).
         set ButtonPushed to 0

My primary use of this code is to give more flexibility to the 3 custom buttons on SR260 remotes and to make the red button on all of my remotes into a panic button (if pressed multiple times).

@Nitin @South Africa C4 user, in a future update we are going to have the default device name be your device model, "iPhone 15 Pro" as an example (this is how Android does it today). Likely in the same update we are going to add back the field to change your device since many households likely have multiples of the same model iPhone/iPad. I'll let you know when this happens and where exactly in the app you'll be able to find this relatively soon.

I just spoke with the Composer team and it sounds like if testing goes well then a new update should be rolling out next week that will resolve the issue with Composer HE and OS 3.4.1

I am new here and do not know if C4 officially monitors this chatroom.  This is a brief note of appreciation to C4 for swiftly resolving the issue that resulted in the Android app crashing upon any Webview subroutine.  I can only imagine the difficulty of navigating an architecture dominated by massive players like GOOGL and AAPL.
    Thank you.
Now, can we please get the Composer HE working with 3.4.1!
    Kind regards...

Just closing out this thread  - when looking at the Touch Screen System Info page with a dealer, we noticed the Test Touch Screen Sensitivity box was checked and once deselected, the lines and circles disappeared.  Not sure how this was selected but glad to eventually find the solution.  See below for the photo of the Touch Screen System Info page.  Hope this helps if anyone else has this problem.

HI.  We have not seen this. Have you submitted a help desk ticket for us to look your system?  The email system should allow up to 50 emails (from all our drivers combined) per day.  This has been the same for years.

Please put a support ticket in @ https://help.drivercentral.io and we can help you out.

    Thanks!

at least I am still not on WinXP
but for the sake of sanity and happy household, I never have auto updates set.  Even things like my Unifi APs, they aren't on auto updates.  I'll wait for a weekend that the wife is out of the house (or even just for a long day) so I can upgrade and if things go sideways I have time to troubleshoot and fix it before she gets home and wonders why she cannot use a device.

The other side of this is what about customers outside the USA?
Does the fact that we are forced to stay on 4sight mean that we won’t get access to new features? While I am not keen on the extra payment for the new 4sight (Connect), I also don't want to be forced into not having new features (depending on what these are)…

I think the new features exclusive to Connect thing is BS. We’ll see. I bet they’ll sunset 4sight before they have any features exclusive to Connect.

So do I just load up on 4sight subscriptions to save me money for a few years?  Lol

serious question though. I’d bank a few years if that works.

South Africa C4 user reacted to IntrinsicGroup in Intrinsic Dev and myQ announce official partnership
Completely understand everyone's concerns and agree with a lot of what's been posted above regarding third party integrations in general. Again I'd reiterate none of the pro smart home platforms previously withdrawn for myQ were official. This is a paid integration which myQ will be making money on, which is always a good incentive to keep it going! I don't think it would be right for me to speak for Chamberlain though, and I think it's their reassurance you really need here and not ours. I've forwarded your comments to them and if there's anything they'd like to add to what I've already mentioned I'll be sure to pass it back. I can say that the contract is geared to allow for integrations across multiple platforms and is an extensive long term relationship.
We'll ensure we put as much information on the listing as we can so you can guide your customers to make the best choice for them.
