Sure would be nice if we could have an Open Source community writing drivers for C4.  I know a lot of dealers might not like it as it could eat into their revenue streams.

There was a thread on this topic a few months ago, might want to see if you can find that.
I have a TV that is semi-outdoors in a pool cabana that is pulled outside via a long articulating arm.  My strategy is to just use regular TVs and replace every 5-6 years rather than paying a HUGE premium for an "outdoor" TV.  But weather conditions are different here in Toronto where summer temps rarely exceed about 33°C and salt is not an issue.  My TVs have withstood winters where it gets down to -20°C although they are not used in the winter. I used to bring the TV in for the winter but I haven't bothered for the last few years

MeMu is basically a less bloated Bluestacks.  I'd suggest that one if concerned with app sizing.

200Mbps is WAY, WAY, WAY more than you need for Teams

    Bandwidth requirements
Teams is designed to give the best audio, video, and content sharing experience regardless of your network conditions. That said, when bandwidth is insufficient, Teams prioritizes audio quality over video quality.
Where bandwidth isn't limited, Teams optimizes media quality, including up to 1080p video resolution, up to 30fps for video and 15fps for content, and high-fidelity audio.
This table describes how Teams uses bandwidth. Teams is always conservative on bandwidth utilization and can deliver HD video quality in under 1.2Mbps. The actual bandwidth consumption in each audio/video call or meeting will vary based on several factors, such as video layout, video resolution, and video frames per second. When more bandwidth is available, quality and usage will increase to deliver the best experience.
BANDWIDTH REQUIREMENTS Bandwidth(up/down) Scenarios 30 kbps Peer-to-peer audio calling 130 kbps Peer-to-peer audio calling and screen sharing 500 kbps Peer-to-peer quality video calling 360p at 30fps 1.2 Mbps Peer-to-peer HD quality video calling with resolution of HD 720p at 30fps 1.5 Mbps Peer-to-peer HD quality video calling with resolution of HD 1080p at 30fps 500kbps/1Mbps Group Video calling 1Mbps/2Mbps HD Group video calling (540p videos on 1080p screen)

I love fast speeds as much as anyone else, but what applications on an iPhone need speeds faster than 200Mbps?  That is fast enough to stream 8 4K shows on Netflix simultaneously to one iOS device.

I think you might even be able to do something similar from Blue Iris - create an all cameras RTSP feed. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/5-3-1-july-16-2020-your-blue-iris-web-server-now-is-also-an-rtsp-server.49571/

I don't know that Tidal is that big anywhere since they are more of a niche service with a raison d'etre of higher quality streaming music.  But to most people the more popular services are good enough.

Depending on how many TVs you have and what your bill is for the boxes, it is most likely not worth it. You will indeed not be able to have a C4 on screen UI unless you purchase an EA1 for each display which could possibly be cheaper still versus distributed video.  IMO an TV on screen UI is seriously overrated and not even used in most other automation systems. With apps and touch screens, you shouldn't have any "lesser" of an experience. Feel free to PM me if you have other specific questions.

As somebody mentioned before, central distribution made a lot of sense when devices were bulky and expensive. Is it always necessary? A Roku device that costs a maximum $99 (often way less) that can offer access to pretty much any TV service needed, including core channels, live sports (using for ex YoutubeTV, Sling,...) and obviously all movies and TV series streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, Apple TV, HBO Max,...) with minimal limitations of concurrent streams. They are tiny and perfectly controlled by Control4. Most users don't play DVDs anymore and don't need access to a Satellite or Cable receiver thanks to services above.
One caveat is audio and it will depend on each situation. But again, there may be very elegant and cost effective solutions to have high quality audio for those TVs, well managed by Control4 without the need to deploy a complex and expensive HDMI matrix...
I am not advocating against that approach but a strong internet connection, solid WiFi coverage, a few Roku devices, possibly an Audio Matrix and most importantly a great Control4 programer/installer may be a great way to save a lot of money, minimize complexity (and ongoing support costs) and offer an excellent user experience.

You can keep the Roku at the TV and use the TV's audio out. I have a couple of instances where I use audio from the TV's output in the exact way that you are envisioning.  In some ways I find this simpler as you reduce the number of connections plus reduce the likelihood of sync problems.  Check out what types of output ports your TV has, SPDIF is common but that isn't useful to you without a converter, but they are only $15. You may also have analog RCA outputs or a headphone-type jack. This would allow you to continue to use OTA.
Do you have the older C4 8 zone matrix amp the C4-16AMP3-B?  If so then you need analog signal as it does not take digital audio inputs. You could then use cheap stereo audio baluns over ethernet to get audio back to the rack - like these:https://www.amazon.com/LINESO-2Pack-Stereo-Extender-Female/dp/B01IXYSE2A/ . So the connection would be:

Master Bedroom                                   Basement Rack TV analog audio out --> Balun --> CAT6 wiring--> Balun --> Matrix Amp Roku works very well with Control4 so you can have mini-Apps where you just select Netflix or HBO or whatever and it starts the Roku with that channel running.  And it all works smoothly over IP.

One other thing that BI has is that you can use motion sensing to trigger events.  For example, upon motion you could cause BI to hit a URL on your C4 box that causes action in C4, assuming that you are using the Chowmain Generic IP driver to receive the events in C4.

So most of the time I use the Amazon Music controls native within Control4.  Always has been a little bit of a bummer to have to use your phone/tablet/touchscreen to navigate via text to what you are looking for.  Control4 could come a long way by using voice to control it, but alas not yet.
I've also always had an Amazon Echo Dot connected in the rack that I could issue a command to via any other household Alexa device to play music on that device.  Then by simply turning on LISTEN in the given room(s) and picking the Alexa source I could get music to play and control by voice.
But I missed in my study and other locations with a screen-based Echo Show getting to look at the screen of my Echo Show that shows album art and lyrics.  Although a perfectly easy and maybe already well-known solution I wanted to share here:
    1) Still same Echo Dot connected in the rack to audio matrix
    2) Created a speaker group between my Echo Show on my desk and the Echo Dot in the rack called "CONTROL FOUR"
    3) Turn on LISTEN in the C4 app and select my Alexa source for the room (or rooms)
    4) Issue command to Alexa - play Fleetwood Mac songs on "CONTROL FOUR" group (mute the Echo Show on my desk)
    5) Presto - music controlled by voice on my Echo Show, album art showing, lyrics scrolling in perfect sync, and able to quickly say "Alexa pause" and "Alexa play" when I have to take a phone call.
Yes, this has somewhat been discussed before with putting an Alexa device in the rack, but not the idea of creating a Group within the Alexa app to control it this way.  Hope you enjoy if you have a similar setup.  I am loving this.

Are there any US manufacturers that make these cameras?  I know that Hik and Dahua are particularly bad in various ways from a security perspective (China has a back door?) and from a social accountability perspective (their cameras are used in the persecution of Uyghurs), but even a nominally US branded camera would likely be made in China and maybe even in the same factory as Hik or Dahua or one of the other Chinese brands.
