Do you use the announcements feature with the C4 Sonos driver? If so, you'll get better announcement functionality with the Port -- you no longer are forced to put your announcements in the favorite list for them to be pushed to your Sonos device.  Not exactly a headline feature, but it's worth something, if you're almost on the fence about it anyway.

Currently at this time, no. The only device that actually takes advantage of a new feature of S2 is the Arc for Dolby Atmos support, and it can only run on S2. Right now I think they're just laying the foundation for higher quality music feeds. I updated from S1 to S2 yesterday and there's nothing new feature wise to report with my setup (Beam & two Play:3's in surround, and 2 Play:1s in separate rooms.
So unless you have an Arc (or one of the other new products that only support S2), there's no "must have" reason to upgrade at this time.

It seems to be me that SR250s have been more reliable long-term than SR260s from anecdotal evidence of the screen issues.  Too bad they can't address that problem with a hardware revision.

Thanks for the quick post. Worked with my dealer to buy and install the driver bundle that includes the temperature driver. I’m not done playing with it all yet, but i love the driver and notification capabilities. I realize most of this can be accomplished with programming but this makes it so clean, simple and efficient. Looking forward to playing with some of the drivers in the bundle.

https://www.nellyssecurity.com is also a fantastic source. They rebrand a few different kinds and we’ve got their H-series stuff which are Hikvision oem with NVR. Love the nitecolor (colorvu). Use it all with the new chowmain Hikvision driver although still working through some notification snapshot issues. Still use the hik-connect app most of the time and works great along with the DB2 doorbell from Nelly’s (integrates into C4 as a camera but not door station).

If you are using Alan Chow's driver, you need to know that it APPEARS that the latest verson of Conrol 4 breaks it in the following way:
I used to be able to simply say If the Total Generation is Greater than the Total usage (see above) but...
That no longer works in the latest update for some reason. No idea why. BUT
If you assign the total generation and total usage each to a variable and then compare the Vaariables it DOES work again.
Hopefully alan reads this and looks into it.

It wouldn't surprise me if they are being sold under the Empire Tech brand due to the negative publicity that Dahua has received in recent years.  Both Dahua and Hikvision have been blacklisted by the US.
These cameras have been known to have back doors:
And they have been implicated of human rights abuses regarding surveillance of Uighurs in China.

I purchased from empire tech about 18 months ago.  Totally fine transaction 

If you have an Atmos theatre room and a video matrix, it would be a step backwards to connect the ATV to the matrix. Buy a dedicated ATV and connect it directly to your AVR to get the maximum 4K video and audio experience your equipment supports. Then use a second ATV, presumably with audio settings forced to stereo, connected to your matrix for your stereo zones to enjoy (I am assuming if you have a video matrix you have stereo video zones).

FYI the free BI driver in the C4 DB is partially dead with OS3, you will only see a static image on your T3, not even sure it's the same issue with the app.
BI have a lot of potential left behind, and sadly AudioObsession haven't updated his driver since a while... That's why I've written a new driver for BI5 from scratch, it comes in a lite or full flavor, the Lite version is mostly to view a compliant HD stream on all your Navigator device, whatever the camera you have or native resolution the camera has. Record at 4k, view at 720p on C4 with no issue.
The full version had every possible features BI can bring into C4. You will get motion trigger, camera control, auto-discovery, touch action trigger (touch the light on the live video feed and it will turn on). Also included is a cloud-free geofence driver that use the BI server and GPS on the app for positioning with any external services to log in, and the last and not the least is a full OSD control on the BI interface (5.2.1.1 required). Connect you BI server to your HDMI matrix and get a 4K camera view on all you TV, with feeds and playback control using your SR-260 or Neeo Remotes.

Until you have something like HBO Max come along and doesn't work on Roku...nice to have all three in my opinion, Amazon, Roku, and Apple.  All excel at different things.

FYI MyQ is the reason why Control4 told all 3rd party developers to stop reverse engineering APIs.
Its caused them alot of pain.

Nope, no way to configure the locks to not lock on touching the keypad area...
The driver *could* unlock the door again if it's still open, but I'm a little concerned about the driver ever *unlocking automagically*...

@RyanE got your auto lock driver installed. one potential bug...if the door is open but I accidentally brush against the Yale keypad then the cylinder fires to lock the door although it's open. I guess there is no way to prevent that? 

All,  I've posted on my remote integration services thread.  I've switched to the engineering field, and while I couldn't be happier, I simply do not have enough time to provide quality programming services at this point.  It's been a pleasure getting to know all of you, this industry truly changed my life.  I'll still be around, but not nearly to the degree that I have been.  I wish everyone well, and I appreciate the business relationships and trust that have been built through this platform.  A huge thank you to the guys that were at Cytexone, especially Dan.

I have a room called 'Main Sensors' that I use for all the sensors around the main floor that I want to get a quick status on.  It includes:
Garage Doors (using the garagedoor_relay_control.c4z. driver, so I can see open/closed/partial status) Outside Doors (using the Auto Lock driver, so I can tell lock and door status simultaneously) Link to Cameras Inside sensors that I care about I then favorite that room on touchpanels and my phone, so I can swipe over to it quickly.

I would suggest relying on the HVAC equipment to check temperatures. You want that system to be functional with out C4 and just have C4 to monitor control and adjust.

so my profiles were not changing because something happened and my license wasnt valid.  I called AO, they gave me a new license and now it works.  I upgraded to BI 5 and still working.  That is really as "advanced" as my programming is with BI/C4.  I know you can do stuff like turn on a light if the camera senses motion during a certain time of day, etc but I havent really gotten into that yet.

That *is* weird.
