DanITman got a reaction from Time2Jet in doorbell that works with control4
Unifi Protect driver is made by cinidev I believe. You can get it at drivercentral. It allows you to integrate the camera, doorbell presses, and even smart detections (people/cars). It will not integrate intercom. Since intercom is always a crap shoot I have moved on to using Unifi and homekit (Scrpyted) with unifi protect gear.

DanITman got a reaction from Reednatron in TCL Roku TV IP driver available?
TCL TVs are very solid. I've never had any issues with updates and I've always been impressed with them.
When you pair with a sonos sound bar you get discrete volume as well.

I mainly purchase 6 series for all my main watching areas. I've bought some cheaper 4 series and they work exactly the same and integration is identical.

DanITman got a reaction from booch in Ultimate C4 “Driver” or backend
I think smarter push notifications is something c4 should work on. The ability to link back to the device that sent you the message. Easy win would be snapshots going to cameras. Lots of opportunity on custom buttons or commands sent with push notifications. C4 could also offer high priority push notifications that can be delivered through DND mode (alarm going off). Lots of room to grow.

I'm wrong on the ios notifications. I just checked. I swear this was a problem before. Maybe I'm getting it confused with Android. Looks like you can whitelist specific applications to make sure they get through. It would be nice to categorize them though. Like just the alarm notifications.

DanITman got a reaction from Jack_Ckun in Sleep Number
Not yet, we are waiting on @Ilushka85 to release it. If it doesn't come out soon, I'll write something small that gets the commands I need.

DanITman reacted to Ilushka85 in Sleep Number
Its coming... been doing extensive testing to accommodate some of the nuances of SleepNumber and their platforms and random things.

You don’t - but what Dan was saying is he replaced them with Control4 native outdoor outlets that are zigbee

DanITman got a reaction from Javad in How to transfer control4 audio over Lan/Wifi

DanITman got a reaction from cdcllc in MyQ DriverCentral driver now completely dead?
We don't know the details of that agreement and what they are allowed or not allowed to do. If you want to have good working relationship with partners it doesn't make sense to use this a conduit to get access to MyQ without discussing it with MyQ first.
If you go back and read some of my older post you will see that I was very critical of using the hacked methods with relays and soldering it to a remote. I'm now on the side of this being the preferred method. The slowness of MyQ to update and the annoying delayed close with beep is not something I'm interested in. Now that I've been running the relay/sensor for some time, I'm sold.

I use the Demo Switch driver. Works great. C4-DEMO-SW

DanITman got a reaction from Amr in Moving house, wanting to try a different platform...
Works really well. I use it to quickly do Siri commands while my hands are full. I also use it for arriving and leaving the house for geo fencing.

DanITman got a reaction from chopedogg88 in Moving house, wanting to try a different platform...
Sorry, small typo that made a huge difference. I meant to say that centralized video took a hit from Smart TVs. Also, the fact that cable boxes and satellite boxes are really dying off and everything has gone streaming.
I use Roku TVs (high end tcl) and have been super happy with them. The wife can still pick up a Roku remote if she doesn't want to interact with Control4 and have the same experience. The IP control hasn't ever broke unlike some other major brands.

DanITman got a reaction from eggzlot in Kwikset Lock - swapping Zwave/C4 cards
That’s it. Red cards are the oldest and were out before the 10 button locks existed. They won’t support storing codes from 10 digit locks.
