  1. The zigbee devices will likely be limited to the eero and Alexa apps. No integration at the moment.
  2. cat6 return audio baluns either analog or digital depending on the the tv and audio matrix. If using analog I like tranformative engineering sb1, psb1, or psb2 depending on needs , if the tv is on an avr then the tv likely wont be fed audio over the hdmi output. I use the zone2 of my avr since it has a hdmi dac and created a virtual room and tv off of the zone2 output that programatically follows th emain zone and plug that into the audio matrix for the ability to overflow that to the zone audio system.
  3. ask alexa to discover devices, then it should show up in the alexa app under smart home and scenes.
  4. Most home automation platforms are unilateral pricing set by the manufacturers. Maybe there is a 5 percent variance for promotions but the dealer can get in trouble for breach of dealer agreement for going beyond that. Similar to resellers for Apple products so the consumer has a consistent price through various vendors.
  5. Agreed, typically it is all or nothing with the handhelds unless specific buttons are broken. Likely network related or the device that controls the cable box's emitter bud. To confirm it isn't the remote you can try the app or touch panel and it likely doesn't work either but good info from a troubleshooting perspective.
  6. Not supported in OS3, it will connect with extremely limited functionality with no warranty or promise of function and reliability as long as you keep it under 3.1.2 I think 3.1.0 will connect manually but you lost the hard buttons and bookmark page flips out of the gate before living in the grey area sandbox. Much better to change to T3 or Android/iOS solutions since that is EOL and you will open a can of worms if you want to go OS3
  7. Will need a dealer to add a driver and binding to allow the input switch and make sure audio path is valid
  8. I have seen 1 ea have hardware issues and all IR stopped working. Haven't had an issue with certain ports when bound correctly yet
  9. Is it all zones or a specific one? What happens when you swap the speakers to another amp outputs to a different zones. Does the distortion follow the amp channel or stay consistent to that run or pair of speakers? Electricians might be able to test continuity or nominal impedance but most will not have any idea how to properly troubleshoot depending on their background. Also is it every source as well?
  10. Is the wattbox or switch tied to those actions offline or not on the OVRC account anymore
  11. Not uncommon, hard cycle on the matrix when the amp is on will do that.
  12. What is the Sony model number to confirm it has a HDMI dac for zone2
  13. Are you asking about the native Alexa smart devices connected to the echo plus? Those don't show up in c4
  14. Usually under 2ish hours depending on the number of secondary controllers for the upgrade itself. Then at least an hour or 2 for testing and tutorial to get started. Followed by a rabbit hole to do customizations of favorite pages and wallpapers which is not necessarily a dealer thing if you like to tinker. The 625 number is the amount of drivers on the computer not in the project
  15. Long time follower of this forum. I have been installing residential and commercial low voltage since 2006. Been programing Control4 since 2012. My business partner and I finally left one of the large Control4 dealers in the area last year because there was not enough emphasis on personal touches to the system and quality/documentation and started our own company. Would love to help anyone out with anything from Q&A, system design, programing (including tutorials for HE), as well as troubleshooting. Please direct message for details. Thank you
  16. Funny, different time zones having access? I see it now
  17. I am looking at the portal and dont see 3.1.2 yet otherwise would help. First I have heard of it so no specs to divulge even if I could because they dont tell us in advance.
  18. It will control music playback but you need a Sonos per zone for seamless playback with a singular command. Otherwise it is a 2 part function. Play xyz on the name of the Sonos player (inside, outside, etc) then a voice scene play music in room x Sounds like the new house will be pretty nice, you could also look at josh.ai but similar scenario just way more control and reliable/secure since they aren't selling your info
  19. Might need the voice scene driver installed on the system
  20. There was a houselogix one but I dont think there is currently one out there. Chowmain has relay to light but not the other way around for quick binding/dropdown driver setup to get around additional programing with conditionals
  21. Connect the tv audio out to the Sonos player driver input
  22. I use a Google assistant routing that runs when my cell phone alarm is dismissed in the morning. Before that I was using Google calendar and ifttt
  23. What tv? You need an anchor command like pressing input button then the number command followed by enter, or channel 3 then toggle x number of times in the driver that you build. If the tv has discrete on off it might just be better to use a small HDMI switch depending on the situation
  24. the 6900 is too low on their totem pole for IP control
