This but a cheap tester may indicate that replacing one or both terminations would be a good start.

If the cable between those points has been stable and undisturbed that would be my expectations. Likely the outdoor / more exposed termination has gone bad.

Yes. It will try to notify you and fail and then shut down the water.

Now if the Internet is down the power may also be down. It needs a battery backup in that situation. People have noted that the shower system battery backup also works for the flo and is about $100 not $300!Yes. On leak detector trigger tell Moen to close would be easy programming.

I love the fact that despite being a relatively expensive product my kids have not managed to do much damage to the SR.

The Neeo in their hands scares me. "sorry it was an accident says my 6 year old" I know. A $600 accident.

You should check out Dam-it water control systems. I have their flood sensors in my basement, and their products integrate with Control4.

The Moen driver was re-released a couple of months ago by @Cinegration .  New API.  The driver looks really good except that it seems to hang the C4 system after a while (24 hours) if you have a Moen account with multiple residences and multiple Flo units at one of the residences.  Unfortunately, that is my situation. I understand that he developer is working on this and I have an open ticket with DriverCentral.
Linking C4 to Flo looks very powerful as you can definitely make Flo more smart for your given situation. For instance I have a Flo on my irrigation circuit, a Flo on my pool auto filler and a Flo on my Mains amongst other things at my holiday home.
I have programmed my holiday home system (just waiting for a working Flo driver to drop back in to the system) to do the following when I am not in residence:
    1. Shut off the irrigation Flo if it is running when Control4 is not running an irrigation program.
    2. Shut off the pool autofiller Flo if the pool should not be filling at that point in time (there are only 3 hours in a day when my pool rim flow runs and it is only then that refilling should happen automatically due to the plumbing).
    3. Shut off my mains Flo if it is running and neither the pool autofiller or the irrigation Flo are running.
I have set running to mean running for 30 seconds or more.
For my setup, this will give much more protection than Flo does natively and I have also set C4 up to collate information that I find useful and e-mail it to me once a week.

The circuit doesn’t currently have a switch so I suppose I would need to use a sensor and then C4 puck if I want to manually turn on/off?

Yes this. Many of us run Unifi. Some edge cases cause problems. Mostly it just works.

I've yet to see one of these edge cases.

    For what?
    Not enough information, really.
There's not much an EA5 COULD not technically handle, but if he has 150+ lights/fans etc on zigbee, 10 TVs and 32 audio zones, blinds, numerous 3rd party specialty drivers... I would certainly recommend a CA-10. The EA5 is there to provide audio feeds and IR/serial (really wish C4 came out with a media streamer, 4-6 streams, only device...).
The CA-10 IS an absolute powerhouse, and while not a must as such, it can make for a much nicer experience.

If so, why are you controlling stuff with your SR250 and another remote something is fundamentally broken in that scenario.

Fix C4. Use Alexa Voice and the SR250
