I have a C4-8ZVMS-B 8x8 vid matrix and one of the HDBT output ports refuses to link to a receiver over a run of cat 5e > roughly 20ft. It had been serving a receiver that was on a fairly long run (90+ ft) but now the link light on the receiver flashes sporadically. If I take that same receiver and connect it to the port over a short Ethernet cable it will link immediately. I have tested the 90ft run by connecting it to a different port on the same matrix and achieve a link w/o issue. I’ve tried spare receivers and they all exhibit the same (link fine on that port over a short run; won’t link over the long run). I’ve tried rebooting the matrix but have not done a f…

Hi Guys We've done an site, where we changed a venues old switches to Keypad Dimmers, and Dual-load dimmers. A third party electrician fitted some LED strips, composer reported Short Circuit on that load a few times, but once you clear it it works for about a day or two. I spoke to C4 they said it's the transformer of the LED Strip as if it's bad quality, even if the LED strip works independently well, the dimmer will pick up some issue and will report short circuit. We changed the transformer to one that we use with our LED Strips all the time, but the client still calls us that they can't turn the light on and lights are flashing on the keypad. I have a client where we took over the entire existing and who's having issues with his gen 1 panelized lighting. Devices don't easily come back online after power loss, have to manually press the reset button on the DIN-RAIL network switches and modules, he also has 3x BEG and sometimes you have to physically disconnect the low voltage power to it and reconnect. Interesting that even fully turning off the breakers to the panels results in devices still needing to be manually reset. Wondering if anyone has had similar issues and if anyone is able to tell me why using a V2 ethernet gateway may be an improvement over the existing V1. He does have a generator …

My system is an old control4_hc250. I came home yesterday to find none of my switch panels would control any lighting, nor would the app control any lighting. Any ideas of a simple fix?

I have a few standard aux keypads / c4-ka's lying around and picked up some of the Essentials switches (C4-V-SW120277). Do I have to use the Essentials keypad, C4-V-AUX, or will the standard c4-ka work w/the Essentials switch? From all the data sheets it looks like it has to be the essentials version... but... does the standard c4-ka work? Thanks

Hi, The attached pictures show the LCD control unit located in my living room. All other rooms have a Daikin remote control which I can use to turn the heating on/off. Unfortunately, the living room's heating can only be turned on/off via this LCD panel which is currently not responding and shows incorrect room temps of 48.9 degrees celsius. I have restarted the whole system several times to no avail. I am able to control the lights in the living room without any problem so presumably not a wifi issue and all the other rooms can have their heating turned on and off with the daikin remotes. i have two sites with Chimes that regularly grey out in the intercom section on T4 touch screens. The only way to bring them back is to reboot the coordinator and or login and refresh the gateway. its driving me insane. So far everyone i have spoken to has said network, busy network, too much chatter. these are not big sites....... the one has 16 cameras, i have other sites with more cameras and network devices, with DS2's that have run perfectly for years. Has anyone else had this issue and what has been done to fix...

Hey all, My contractor wants to upgrade my EA-1 to 3 because he wants to control the Elite Screen (projector screens) via the control4 app and not via off/on of the apple or remote. I find it a bit price to do this only for the ability to do that with the Relays that EA-3 has. Do you guys know any other way to control this without the need of spending on EA-3. Regards, Asaf

Only getting pieces of "magic codes" to reset ZigBee on C4 devices. Found out that 13 is the magic number for the Outdoor Plug C4-V-OOSW120. This worked perfect. I was able to pair it with new Core3 Controller. But I need some other devices to transfer from old EA3 (ZigBee channel 13) to new Core3 (ZigBee channel 25). Some forums mention the "Knowledge Base" to see all of these "magic numbers". Where can I find it?

Hi all, I'm playing around with the new Halo remote and cant seem to figure out how to program the 3 custom buttons on the top of the remote. I see the 3 buttons on the programming tab and i can program things to turn on but then the remote does not control the app like when using the "Watch" command. I'm trying to access my DirectTV, Netflix and Hulu mini apps on my Roku via the 3 buttons. Thanks!

Hi all - Ex-C4 dealer here that made some updates to my own personal system I still own. I am now trying to order keycaps for the half a dozen or so new C4 loads that I added to the project. My existing dealer was supposed to order them two weeks ago, but didn't. Rather than wait another two weeks, I am hoping I can order from a dealer on this forum and just have them sent to my house. Is it possible to have the Favorite channels page default after the client chooses cable tv? Thank you in advance for any help... Im trying to make the favorite come up after the client chooses "Watch" - "Xfinity" then the favorites just come up for ease of use so they don't have to go back to watch and then channels.
