OS 3.2.3 webinar direct from c4

Finally a video wall configuration again. When the previous driver broke after going to OS3, that really sucked for my basement setup. Glad to see this feature come back although implemented very differently it seems than the old driver.  Can’t wait to give it a whirl vs going to all these “fake” rooms to manage my video wall.

yep and the ability to choose to have different music playing while watching TV in the same room is a request I get from end users all the time.

yep would be great for a home gym where you can listen to whatever music you want while maybe having a ball game on the TV.  Something very simple that I am shocked took this long to implement.

Did anyone notice SR5008 in the device list as they were showing some of the filtering features? Is this a new remote?

Device is a Marantz receiver.

Having music playing while watching TV in the same room will be a great addition for sure!

Is this a change in policy as I thought that C4 never pre-announced functionality before releasing hardware and software.

And Equalizer support in Navigators - no one has mentioned that yet.

Would still be nice if they were moving Composer to being a web based app so that it would be OS agnostic.

YESSS!

As a primary Linux user (with a MacBook Pro for portable), it's frustrating. I ended up creating a Windows VM on a Proxmox host exclusively for Composer. I then use Apache Guacamole to RDP into that VM through any web browser, but I shouldn't have to go through all that to make it available in a browser.

I don't think it's necessarily a change of policy, as Control4 has pre-announced functionality around CEDIA timeframe when the release was still pending, although the goal of course is always to have the release ready for CEDIA.

Of course, I'm not speaking for Snap One / Control4 when I make that guess...

really looking forward to seeing this one.  In every room here I have to have different rooms in the setup to play music and watch TV (i.e. Kitchen and Kitchen Music) which is a pain.  Hope this allows this to merge such that only one is needed with this change.

Filters.. are you kidding me? 🤣

This is basic in most smarthomes..

Still now RGBW or RGBWW and so many urgent features got ignored.

I’ve had C4 since 2008 and in multiple homes. My family has enjoyed the benefits of home automation since before most knew what home automation was. Although I have not seriously looked at options, I highly doubt there are much better systems that fully integrate the automation of a house on one platform.

Looking back 13 years, this is the first time I remember seeing this type of preview of what is to come from the C4 team. If this is any indication, I have to say I am really excited to see what will come from the new C4.

Great job C4. Keep it up.

OUTSIDE of CEDIA/CES, sure - but there is no CEDIA/CES at the moment... 🙃

I'm tempted to agree with RyanE here - it's not so much unique to see this around this time of year, just unique HOW it's coming out.

C4 is still the best for multimedia. But its sadly to see that they lose touch for the rest of smarthome things.
Development of new features is extremly slow against other systems. :(
